Sold our 2 tix for tomorrow’s Colorado last game of the season. Again, we had to price them $20 below our cost. So for 2018 we are 5 for 7 but 2 of those were at $20 below our cost per seat. So glad this season is ending.
Dropped my tixs 50%, and was able to sell them off pretty quickly on Saturday. I was actually going to be there, but my cousin asked me to help out at a fundraising drive at her local temple here in SJ. Easy decision for me
Yes I know you referring to that post, but I still didn’t see the humor or joke u were trying to make. But it’s ok. No one seems to understand my jokes either.
Here we go again, starting my track record for the 2019 season. Made my first sale: 2 tickets for tomorrow's mar-23-2019 Quakes vs CF Monterrey game. So I am 1 for 1. I listed 2 other dates at the same time, but they haven't sold yet. Got my fingers crossed.
I had to miss our second game and those sold within a couple of days, but that was also the week before the match. Also 1 for 1.
I used the listing price suggested by Ticketmaster at the time, which was $75 each. If you mean the price listed in the ticket itself, I don’t know what that was or if one was even printed, since it was a bonus game.
I went $10 over the ticket value. We sit in the front row above the box seats, so they tend to sell well.
I also sold today's tickets for slightly below the suggested list price. Just learned today that you can also sell parking passes on StubHub and plan to try that out for July games that I'll have to miss.
We tried to sell the bonus game, but even a little below the price they didn't sell by noon on day-of. So we decided to go and we had fun
Reviving this thread for the 2021 season! I sold my first pair of tickets for this pandemic season. I initially listed the Houston game at $125 (the Quakes suggested price), but they didn’t move for 2-3 weeks. Then I lowered the price to $90, which is the face value. At that price, they sold within 24 hours. But since the Quakes take 10%, I’m losing at least $10 on each seat. But better than a total loss…
that's part of the reason I bailed on season tix - couldn't give them away. as long as there's a single season ticket holder left, Fisher wins! I don't see any reason for Quakes fans to keep subjecting themselves to the great swindle...I think we've reached a point (actually we reached it years ago) where being a STH is doing more harm than good for the growth of soccer in San Jose.
Actually, I’ve never had a problem giving Quakes tickets away. I did have that problem with the Cyberrays and the FC Gold Pride…
I'm also trying to sell my Houston tickets. I currently have them listed at the Quakes suggested price but I think that price is too high. I'll probably end up listing them for what I paid and hope they sell.
I could have waited to see if I could get back all my money, but I noticed that the seats next to us were empty at the Classico. They had been listed for $250 each. So I decided to ignore Ticketmaster’s suggested price. Maybe the Quakes sets a suggested number higher than what they are actually selling their own tickets at? They must have a lot of empty seats to push. I remember that was discussed in the forum when Dave Kaval first set up the resale thing. You couldn’t price your tix below the Quakes’ price.
I was never able to sell moat tix for anything near their value, and used to give them away. There have been very few games at PPP that anyone -- other than diehard fans -- wanted to see.
Yeah, I think the suggested price is just too high. I've lowered my price to break-even and still no sale yet. If the Quakes lose tomorrow I'll lower the price again.
