I agree. The sponsors' mood graphic is great and the menus looks so much simpler.

OK I apparently have a Sierra Hotel GK and I'm maxing out on GK training in the hope of getting him trained up in short order. He's gone from 6 stars to 6.5 to 7 but my trainer won't say boo about him. These are the only progress reports since bringing him in 3 months ago. Note the dates:

    7-19-2008 20.15
Match In this game, I studied Pete Cordero. His Keeper is passable I would say.

    6-21-2008 20.15
Match Pete Cordero is getting on well with the Keeper training. I'd say he'll be fully trained in it within just a few weeks.

So he's 7 stars now. Is he probably fully trained and the system just isn't giving me the go ahead or what?

You'll usually get a report when his training peak is reached.

    Something like this:
Now I am positive that Will Jernigan can't learn more in the youth academy when it comes to Playmaking.

So far so good. If all goes well I can upset a few teams in the next few weeks.

From what I've seen on the subject, economists are not much more than an ironic in-joke in the game -- they can't make you enough money to pay their salaries.

You'll want about $4,000,000 for one.

Whats the best tactic to play against a counter attacking team? 5-4-1 with all the mids defending.

This may be in the wrong thread, but I couldn't find another one that really deals with it. Quick question: My economy report tells me I'm spending $40K a week on my youth academy, when the drop down box says the maximum allowed is $20K. Am I missing something?

I know it's not really possible anymore because you can only have the Youth Academy or the Youth Team but you could have been investing $20,000 in both before.

OK I can accept that, but then how do you set the spending level for the "Academy"? Or is it fixed at $20K?

It depends on how many scouts you have - or it did.

unreal, clobbered 1-5 at home...I dont know how he pulls an Outstanding midfield on the road with those players. Your still fine to win the league.

I'm stuck in DIII forever as I have no answer to that sort of stuff.

That's ok, I clobbered CST 6-1 at his place...

I hope so. The last two weeks are going to be a real pain having to play 2nd and 3rd. Especially with Sprinkles gunning for me in that week 13 match up. Thankfully I have the easy game the week before to pic and get my TS up.

Spaced on you two being in the same III division, and kuhnscoot leading the way. Nice.

Fingers crossed I get in on the III.6 party next season, maybe that'd be just enough to get another round of supporter.

edit - even better if so:

    League ranking: 16 / 16 :)
