I like Dan's extensive efforts, particularly on long drives...thoughts?

from what ive found in searching for history podcasts, Dan is the gold standard. So much content, and his style is really interesting. Occasionally I find him taking a little too much glee in combat situations, its a little wierd, but I love that podcast.

Adding my vote. Carlin can be a bit Shatneresque but the content is terrific.

After gobbling up all his free stuff, I've actually bought a series. I found the episode on the seige of Munster, "Prophets of Doom" simply captivating.

Judging by your username, you'd probably like his current affairs podcast too.

I'm about halfway through the third episode of Blueprint for Armageddon. I am enjoying but, but little things seem to annoy me. I hate his tone of voice when he reads direct quotes, plus I think it is moving way to slow. He repeats a lot of things. Nit picking yes, but I am enjoying it.

Late to the thread but wanted to add my endorsement of Hardcore History. He occasionally gets a little to battle focused and I suspect we don't agree on politics but hey it's his show and I even paid for some after exhausting the free ones so he must be doing something right.

Here are two other podcast series I would recommend.

American Election: Wicked Game- A well researched Podcast that covers every election from 1788.

BBC Radio 4 "In Our Time"- A BBC radio history show that is also distributed as a podcast. Literally hundreds of 30 minute episodes.

After January 20, 2021 I never want to think about elections ever again.

    I suspect that won't happen.
