If so, then the 50 supporters of the Hanna Barbera Cup will come out to see their favorite FMF team take on some crappy mls team. Right.....Check the champions cup where Pachuca officials had to give away tickets to the return leg in order to get people to show up. But, they're going to pay to see the new super-duper clasico with Chivas and DC!
I got told to go back to my country on the Houston crhonicle website. but meh I dont hate mls I just find it boring. glad this cup is over Im still interested in attendance i heard NE attendance was 8k that half of the Houston game i predict the final to be 8k or less no more mexicans will go to the game, so that means no more fans. RRev it up!
i was reading the RRREVS forum and said they were expecting maybe 5k fans. some even said it may be as low as 3k lol
wow, thats pitiful in NE which is far north, I saw 2 or 3 mexican flags. In houston, closer to Mexico, and salvie fans, lol, attendance was 16k where is the final? LA right? so if they have true fans, Chivas and LA galaxy wont go support the enemy. that means only transplant NE and Houston fans will attend, which may be in the 100s, that would be serious pwnage i would say maybe some bandwagon NE or Houston fans, would go, but who would bandwagon a MLS club? lolololololol
Then dont watch, the league is not for you, you dont like it, thats cool. Who is they? Fans? What fans? As i mentioned before, were those retarted ten or twenty fans enough for anybody to blame an entire league of racism? Lets be honest here, slurs, taunting and profanity occur in every league, example, when Jared Borgetti played in Bolton for the EPL, and claimed that his time there was rough because he was not scoring goals and fans in the stands would scream racial slurs such as "go back to Mexico" etc... did he ever state that the EPL or its fans were racist? NO! Why? because its unforseen on how fans are going to act or say. We see and hear it in all leagues around the world inlcuding the FMF. When talking about a true FMF vs MLS battle, the Houston vs Pachuca series is the only match that I could think of that even comes close to what a heated and exciting rivalry should consist of. You dont have to be an MLS or FMF fan to find the last three Pachuca vs Houston games exciting. Just my opinion.
Don't forget that all Latinos but especially Mexicans have an inferiority complex when it comes to the USA.
I think we are starting to go off topic here, your assumption is not a fact, Boston is indeed a city or even all of massachusetts a state that has the least population of Latinos, but I dont think its enough to call it "the most racist city in the Northeast." But hey! If thats your opinion, more power to you.
I've only watched two full games only because of Blanco.. why are mls fans so desperate for a rivalry?
My position isn't unique, there are a bunch of us here on the Mexico boards that weren't born here yet grew up playing soccer here and to a degree adopted the sporting culture. The problem is that MOST of the support for soccer in this country resides here on BigSoccer (I mean hardcore support as in people who truly support the USMNT and their MLS clubs) and reading through a thread and constantly seeing negative, ignorant, and racist comments towards my country and my people based on a silly tournament between teams that aren't exclusively American or Mexican does bother me. It would bother anyone. Forget the fact that rumors and gossip spread like wildfire on the US side of the boards and that there seems to be one cohesive opinion on all things regarding Mexican/Latin American soccer. It's that kind of attitude that turns off potential fans from supporting either the MLS or the USMNT.
Despite the gains that have been made, a majority of the state’s residents rate the quality of race relations as “fair” or “poor” and 42 percent of blacks and 49 percent of Latin-Americans report having experienced discrimination in the past 12 months. What I've read on the Revs board also confirms my belief.
Isnt Blanco part of MLS, Didnt you say F**K "ALL" MLS. Im confused now MLS is not desperate for a rivalry, when CCC tourney takes place, MLS teams are in pre-season, when this so called "Hanna Barbera Cup" takes place, FMF teams are in pre-season aswell, but when Pachuca and Houston play each other, neither team look like they are in pre-season, both teams play exciting and attractive soccer and it always ends in penalties or a last minute goal. Thats how early rivalries start and then build up, I hate Houston and Pachuca but because of their previous encounters, I watched their latest match and was not disappointed.
Indeed F**ck all mls I've only watched two games Blanco kicking a bunch of ass is always good specially at his age maybe that's how Dynamo fans feel that a "rivalry" is happening the fact is in Mexico they see these so called rivalries as a friendly
Pachuca plays attractive soccer. Dirty, cheap shot tactics are not attractive soccer; that's what the dynamo play. And no, you do not play "EPL-like" physical soccer.
Silvia Domínguez is a student at Northeastern University, she mentions a very weak survey where "state’s residents rate the quality of race relations and only giving the participants the option of choosing "Fair" or "Poor", In addition, she does not indicate how big the sample of the survey really was or who or which agency did the survey. I know for a fact that If I do a similiar survey in my hometown of L.A., the percentage would be much more higher than in Boston, but would that be enough amo to consider or claim that California is the most racist state in the US? I dont think so. I am still waiting for a fact and not a personal opinion of some college student's article. So the Revs Board represents the voice of Boston, an MLS team that cant even pull more than 12K per game and as many of you mention, I wouldnt be surprised if 8K made it for the Revs/Houston final. Wow sidspaceman, I thought you were much stronger and smarter than that. Here you are posting an article, to back up you say, and you end it with the MLS team with the least fans or support convince you on a whole cities image on racism. Nice.
