I won't even bother to look up coefficients to determine there is some pretty mediocre footie on display.

Hertha just literaly passed the ball out of bounds a midfield under 0 pressure. This is like a geezer game. Lots of fouls, little skill.

I don't know if I mentioned but this 2nd half has been crap on toast. no one can pass, trap or shoot. They can, however, foul and jaw at the ref, and roll on the ground.

5 hamburg players across the Hertha 18. No one moves. Not an inch. Like lawn flamingos (well, Hertha's wearing the flamingo colors, but still.) Garden gnomes.

That score is all because of Wood's hard work and strength.

Brooks stab-tackles to break up dangerous counter. He looks very chill on the ball these days.

Bobby did the hard work on the right of their area, sent a pass from the ground to Hunt, who redirected to a free Ekdal for the goal. But that came from Bobby's fighting spirit, with two men on him.

hopefully he'll get credit by those watching. cause a lot of crap are thrown at strikers who don't get on the scoresheet

Also, Brooks a bit slow to react in the goal. He had been good before that.

As much as we fight it, the Spirit of Felix Magath is the German way.

There's a debate on the RautenForum (HSV fans forum) whether Bobby would be snatched from them if they go down, or not. Some think he'd be gone right away, some think his strike/assist rate is too low for that to happen and that any better club would want him only as bench filler.

this 2nd half has been pretty exceptionally ragged in my experience. The number of route 1 balls that have gone to opposing keepers is pretty shocking.

Hamburg with the most passes all day playing keepaway. Nice "le pont" on the right side for Hamburg. Killing the clock deep.

Reminds me of a match between bottom-half EPL clubs.

Yeah, Hamburg plays home games like away matches. The BL in general has never much impressed me. A lot of good players ruined by managers better suited as dog trainers.

Klopp changed the league for me. Ottmar at BM was probably the most underrated manager. His hunt in packs pressure was also nice to see. Now? back to Dog Training.

By the way, announcer says: Wood hat alles gegeben - Wood has given everything (tonight)

I would love to see what he does at a team with a midfield. The Hamburg heat map has to look like Dolly Parton's silhouette. It was vespid in the extreme.

Bobby is getting tough as nails out there, because that's the only way to create space - elbow the crap out of it.

He might be bought for bench, but my guess is, with a team that is solid but not too elegant, Wood's battling spirit will add a nice flavor. But Hamburg desperately needs a holding midfielder who can/will show for the ball. It must be a coaching decision, but everything is around the 4 backs, up the wings or long whenever I watch them.
