And scores: 04. Min: Tooooor! Wright schießt das 1:0 für die Schalker. #U23 #schmiede #s04— Knappenschmiede (@knappenschmiede) August 11, 2018
update on him as Schalke II play tomorrow. "The use of Haji Wright (hamstring) is questionable." https://schalke04.de/knappenschmiede/oberliga-westfalen/u23-mutig-spielen-und-sich-weiterentwickeln/ meanwhile the other striker Donis Avdijaj has jumped ship and joined Willem II in the Eredivisie, leaving Wright behind in Schalke II.
still injured and didn't play today. Between last season, his failed trial, Schalke 1st team having no plans for him and his current injury doesn't seem like he's going anywhere but Schalke II until Winter.
looks like Wright's done team training again. While Taitague is still out because of his injury, already been 4+ months for him.
I had such high hopes for him, especially after watching him in preseason last year. Hope he gets away from injuries + reserve team purgatory. I’m a Europe over MLS guy, but I’d think he’s a candidate to come home. Kind of in the Brooks Lennon, Seb Lletget, Josh Perez mold.
I think the Euro dust would get him on to an MLS squad, but it would probably be best if he found a team with a USL side just in case. Going back to MLS isn’t “giving up”, it’s just a means of getting his career momentum arrow pointing upwards again. I’d like to see him stay in Germany, but he’s already failed to latch on in BL2.

59., 61., 62.| 3:0, 4:0 und 5:0!!! Wahnsinn! Tore: #Ceka und #Wright. #U23 #schmiede #s04— Knappenschmiede (@knappenschmiede) September 23, 2018
besides scoring once he also provided an assist. looks like Wright and all the 99 Schalke players who stayed at the club are too good for the German 5th division. All seem to be performing/overperforming aka wasting their time at that level. Only a matter of time before these guys leave Schalke and go higher level to other clubs whether in Winter or Summer 2019. I stated this before but to me it looks like Schalke is mostly using these players in order to get back into RL/4th division. Too many times I've seen comments from higher ups/coaches saying they want to be minimum at that level for the reserves. That the jump from 5th division to 1st is too big.
I think that makes the most sense. They didn't send out as many players on loan as they normally do. I think that having a reserve team in the RL or even the 3.Liga if you can get there is vital for selling clubs who rely on youth development.
He looks a little stronger now, no? Just like Pulisic, he seems more in control of his body this year.
Classic Haji play right there. Beautiful technique on the assist to beat the man and loft that ball perfectly to the back post. Simple tap in for the goal. If he can get his head right I really think he's got what it takes to be special, but so far he's been his own worst enemy.
This is an interesting point and one in favor of the US baseball style of A, AA, AAA pyramid. Europe does a lot right in development but that doesn't mean good old Yankee ingenuity might be able to improve on it. Or not.
3 Siege und 10 Tore für Königsblau! Das sind die Treffer der #U23, #U19 und #U17 vom erfolgreichen Wochenende. ⚽💪 #schmiede #s04 pic.twitter.com/co6thF4HNx— Knappenschmiede (@knappenschmiede) September 25, 2018 Another goal and assist?
