I hope they sign him. I think he could be successful with a club like Reading.

    SADDLERS MISS OUT ON HAHNEMANN

Walsall's bid to sign Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann looks to have ended in failure.
The giant American is in talks with First Division new-boys Reading and Saddlers boss Colin Lee has resigned himself to missing out on his signature.

He said: ``We can't compete with Reading in terms of finance, so we just wish the lad all the best.''

he is not a bad keeper. Unlike Feuer, he can actually play.

I love how in England, American goalkeepers are always referred to as "the giant American."

A co-worker here was telling me that I, at 6 foot and a fairly scrawny 185, was a bruiser... Definitely the first time in my life...
Ironically, 6 foot, 185 makes me roughly the size of most English women as far as I can tell... ;) (really, I'm just kidding....)

Our tallest goalkeepers all seem to end up in England.

It's better than Germany, where every Yank is called "US boy."

To be more accurate, it's "US-boy."
