My thoughts on that Brazil - Croatia game:

- Thiago silva was their best defender by far. Brazilian medias were right that he won his starter slot back with great performances.
- Miranda is average. Can't believe they still rely on him.
- Neymar is back. Nice goal.
- Liked firmino too.
- Croatia is... average at best. At least in this game.
- Not a great game in general. Especially that first half.

 

At least I'll get a free place to stay.

 

Who am I rooting for: Brazil.

Who I expect to win: Brazil or France or Spain or Germany.

I hate no team in particular.

Which players am I rooting for: Ronaldo, Salah, Neymar, and MBappe.

Which player I expect to have a big world cup, and possible best performance: Neymar.

 

Who am I rooting for: 1.Croatia 2.Spain 3.Portugal

Who I expect to win: Spain or Germany.

I hate Argentina (Messi and the whole propaganda), France - because they have a whole lot of dabbing/fortnite dances etc in their squad and fcking Griezmann who's the biggest tool in football.

Which players am I rooting for: Ramos, Modric , Ronaldo, Neymar .

Denis Cherychev has made the Russia squad for the World Cup. I'm extremely happy for him. Always had a soft spot for the guy.

 

Brazil huge favorite IMO. very good squad, real leader and many wordclass players all around.

 

After today's friendly, my usual nerves have popped back up about issues I think Brazil has. Major one being midfield creativity and the lack of it.


Rooting For: Brazil Obviously
Favorites: No clear fav for me. Spain, Germany, France, and Brazil can win it but I can see each team losing as well.
Rooting Against: Argentina. Its hilarious watching them lose.
Player I'm Rooting For: No one.
Breakout Player: Neymar. Its his summer to shine especially after 2014. A young France player will also have a good tournament as well.


Being on the east coast, all the matches are at great times for me. I'll have to watch a game or 2 at work but thats fine. I may take a few hours of PTO time if Brazil are in the quarters/semis so I can watch at a bar.

 

Germany's form will be depended on Neuer's form IMO.
Brazil is good but i think Spain is the favorite. They have a much superior midfield to the other big teams

 

Exactly they look like the 2010 team. They have a very deep squad too.

Iniesta has had that hairstyle for a while. Silva should change. Ronaldo 2002 hairdo maybe

Damn. Group L with Chile, Italy, USA and Ivory Coast is just brutal. Gonna be intense.

Rooting Against: Uruguay . Because Suarez is a dog .
Player I'm Rooting For: Modric . He should get the recognision of one of the game's best ever midfielders .
Breakout Player: Müller .

I hope Belgium reaches the semis . But to be honest , we are doing jack s#%$ with the talent we have. We are stuck with Martinez . He had like a 40% win percentage with everton and is making wrong decisions .
First of all he didn't tryout any other formations than 3-4-3 .
2.Naingolan . He isn't selected . His workrate , fiery temperament and great shot will be missed .
3He never plays Dembélé when Witsel is fit .
4.Doesn t have a plan B . To me there are two types of teams you can form with Belgium . A team formed around Lukaku with the incredible crosses of KDB . And the other one with the sheere dribbling talent of Hazard combinated with fast footwork of Mertens in attack . To me Hazard and KDB in one team doesnt work . Hazard with Lukaku doesnt work as well .
5.He acts too slow when change is needed on the field .
6.Selecting out of form players like Chadli and Tielemans

I am rooting against France. Why France? I want Zidane to lead them to glory in Euro 2020.

 

Surprised that so few are rooting for Ronaldo and Portugal.

 

I am rooting for him. Portugal with Ronaldo will always have a chance, but I am not going to jinx it. So no comment on them!

I also want Marcelo to have his redemption too. His legacy depends on this WC Finals.

 

Indeed. For more it's more so because of Messi and annoying Barcelona fans. Imagine the tears if Portugal makes it further than Argentina.

There's not a lot of love lost for Ronaldo atm. I'm pretty sure that 90 % of us would gladly sell him to make way for Neymar.

 

I've always liked Portugal at the tournaments and will root for them in their matches. The same for Croatia and Costa Rica. I hope both Portual and Spain advance and meet again at the final.

 

I want England and France to crash and burn as soon as possible.
