Guam moves 20 spots up in the FIFA ranking. Now at 154th place. Our highest ranking ever. http://www.fifa.com/fifa-world-ranking/associations/association=gum/men/index.html
Obviously to be taken with a pinch of salt, but Guam has reached their highest FIFA ranking ever, breaking the record set last month. They are now ranked 146 in the world. This is good news for Guam, since better ranking means better seeding for Guam.

Late assessment on the Iran match, but I don't think anyone was expecting anything too surprising. Iran was always the better team. I guess the only positive Guam can take out from this match is the scoreline. It wasn't as bad as the last time they faced Iran. who is the goalkeeper? he is very bad, if it was another goalkeeper scoreline would only be 3 or 4-0.
After their defeat against Iran, they kept their dreams of making it to the next round alive by drawing with Oman 0-0. Again, another impressive result for Guam. Highlights: Whole match:

Given that Guam had the best result for teams that came fourth in the world cup qualifying rounds, they go straight to the third round of 2019 Asian Cup qualifying round, where 24 teams would play for the 12 slots that are still on offer.
