Thierry Henry? It's going to be difficult for him. It will take place at least five years before wearing the gwadaboys' jersey! He will be 37's! It's possible but it will be limited for him! Already Raymond Domenech has stolen us Ciani!

I must admit, I have never seen a Guadeloupe international match, but I have noticed that Ludovic Quistin has previously played for you a few times.

He is now playing in England for my team, FC United of Manchester. Although we are in the 7th tier in domestic football, the English football pyramid has as much strength in depth as anywhere else in the world, and given how well Ludo has been playing recently, I'm sure he could still do a job for the Gwada Boyz!

Best of luck with the Gold Cup campaign!

Thanks a lot man! I wondered where was it spent? Ludovic Quistin is a player who changes constantly club! I notice he loves England! Ludovic was present at the 2007 Gold Cup (1 match played against Haiti) but he had not selected for the 2009 event. His non-selection was a surprise for everyone! I hope he will again be selected for the next DCC!

    [IMG]His Carrer : 2006 : Harlow Town (England)
    2007 : Tamworth FC (England)
    2008 : Swindown Supermarine (England)
    : Hednesford Town (England)
    : Fisher Athletic (England)
    2009 : Gray Athletic (England)
2010 : FC United of Manchester (England)

In Guadeloupe national team : 11 appearances

If you have never seen a Guadeloupe international game, you should go to the website "youtube" and watch the Guadeloupe-Honduras match for example!

Sylvain Wiltord doesn't come from Guadeloupe but Martinique! The last time he played for the french selection was in 2006!

lol ahhh. okay so how long has it been since Saha has been called up :D

Gabriel Obertan has Guadeloupean roots in him as well. wouldn't mind seeing him called up, and Jonathan Biabiany.

Louis Saha comes from Guadeloupe, yes! His last appearance in France team goes back to november 15, 2006! And as he get a good chance to be called for the next World Cup, it will be difficult for him to play for the gwadaboys in 2011!

Gabriel Obertan and Jonathan Biabany? Why not! Provided that Domenech's successor don't call them in A France team!

he got injured though and they called up Cisse instead lol

so am i to understand that a rule exists that it must be five years since a cap for an official team to represent the "un"official team? is that a fifa or concacaf rule (does catalonia deal with this rule in other words?

Good question! According to me, i think it's a FIFA rule because Jocelyn Angloma who has worn the french team jersey from 1990 to 1996, wore a decade later the shirt of one country from another confederation his country Guadeloupe from November 24, 2006 until June 21, 2007.

Hello everybody! The only daily newspaper wich seems to us had fun call our national team from guadeloupeans playing in French league 2.

But don't mistake, it's not this team will be present at the next Gold Cup because i think it will make a good mix between different players from foreign leagues plus our best players from our local league. :)

This team would be one hell of a sight in a Gold Cup tourney, to be sure.
However, are these boys all actually Guadeloupe eligible?

Saha's last cap wasn't exactly 5 years... but it was very close to it... do you think Guadeloupe can still get him to play??

It is actually a CONCACAF rule. CONCACAF says players can take part in the Gold Cup if they haven't played for France in the last 5 years. FIFA pretty much ignores the participation of French national team players. A Guadeloupe player could play for France immediately before and after the Gold Cup as far as FIFA is concerned.

But that also means that clubs don't have to release players for Guadeloupe games since they are not FIFA related.

The good news for Guadeloupe then would be that UEFA leagues aren't in season during the Gold Cup.
