yes, Concacaf does have issues, but if LA does not win then Alaju and Morelia tie with 12 points. Head to head is the tie breaker. They both won a game by one goal so 2 - 2 over all, but Alaju scored in Morelia so they win by the away goal rule.
How does LA finish atop Morelia? H2H is even and Morelia has more away goals, goals scored, and a better goal differential?
I hope LA in fact tops group A, that will at least guaranteed a non-mexican team in the semifinals. Otherwise, we would (most likely) end up with an all mexican semifinals and the feeling will be just like a "jornada doble"...
La does finish first So in the almost 4 years in the CCL era, Cruz Azul, Santos, and Pumas has been in it and none has won it yet watch Morelia or Monterrey will win
I would wait at least to the final... we have barely see 1 or 2 games from the mexican teams with their starters (or most of them). With the level of play of the group stages... even Pikolin looks like a crack
Remember (I get this wrong also) that because 3 teams were tied for first the H2H involves all 3 teams, I think there is a post under the group A thread (what ever group LA/Morelia were in) that explains this.
Respuesta: Re: Group predictions Because of this: So we have: Alajuelense 1 - 0 LA Galaxy Alajuelense 1 - 0 Morelia LA Galaxy 2 - 0 Alajuelense LA Galaxy 2 - 1 Morelia Morelia 2 - 1 Alajuelense Morelia 2 - 1 LA Galaxy LA Galaxy 6 pts +1 Morelia 6 pts 0 Alajuelense 6 pts -1 Creepy, but well...
Re: Respuesta: Re: Group predictions Yeah because if you went strictly head to head, Morelia beats LA, but loses to Alajuelense and LA beats Alajuelense. And you'd still have a 3 way tie.
