00'21" 1-0 Australia backpass, Kennedy or Alleway hangs a horrendous square pass across own box top. Sinclair jumps the route, intercepts at arc top box right, chases down box right to 9m. Quick ground cross to 6-top left post, Beckie dunks :cry::coffee: <= sip

16' 1-0 AUS chip from ~midfield, Kerr gets behind Buchanan at 24m arc left, stumbles as Buchanan backward-somersaults onto her calves -- stays upright, in alone. Kerr shoots early from 17m arc left toward back right, Labbé dives and smothers. Ugh -- she had the entire box to stroll into, and a supporting run to her right.

19' 1-0 AUS chip over the top, Heyman leans shoulders past at 22m mid-right, last-defender Zadorsky hauls her down with two hands on the shoulders. DOGSO, straight red card on Zadorsky  yup

20' 1-0 AUS fk at 22m mid-right, van Egmond dummies over, Kellond-Knight left instep bend skims off left 90, and over.

22' 1-0 Yellow card on Fleming.
23' 1-0 Canada subs in (1 of 3) #5 Rebecca Quinn for #14 Melissa Tancredi.

26' 1-0 Gorry chips from ~30m box right to 14m center, Kerr is in behind but must hop-volley, Labbé saves or just wide right? Australia's direct attacks are severely testing Canada's backline.

Yep. The previous record was when O'Reilly scored in like 40 something seconds against some country back in 2012 Olympics.

Red card issued to Canada. Only they can screw up their own success.

Red card was justified though. Good reffing so far.

38' 1-0 Gorry(?) chips from 35m mid-right to 11m 6-left, Labbé comes out to challenge Logarzo(?)'s back-header -- ball bounces off both, drops toward 6-top right. Heyman runs on from mid-right with net empty, Quinn closes center-to-left and just wins race, clears.

40' 1-0 Kerr stumble-spins past Wilkinson(?) at box top arc left, chases to 6-top left. Labbé slides out and blocks ball off Kerr? Australia's speed looks scary, but Canada are steadily soaking up pressure to defuse the person-down.

45' 1-0 AUS cross from box top wide right to Heyman's chest at 14m center. Heyman right foottop volley on the drop, shanks just wide right.

    HT 1-0.

Really? I definitely think Australia have a goal coming...they've hit the crossbar and Canada is playing a player down. They're getting chances, so I'm not counting them out of this game.

46' 1-0 Australia subs in (1 of 3) #7 Stephanie Catley for #15 Samantha Kerr.
46' 1-0 Canada subs in (2 of 3) #2 Allysha Chapman for RB #7 Rhian Wilkinson.

49' 1-0 Yellow card on Buchanan.
50' 1-0 Kellond-Knight fk at 27m 6-right, deflects off a head in the wall, over endline right.

54' 1-0 Matheson(?) passes to Beckie at 14m 6-left, she spins 270 cw and hooks a shot just wide left low.

60' 1-0 Logarzo takes an egg-knocker on her right shin, stays down at circle back(?).
61' 1-0 Australia subs in (2 of 3) #11 Lisa De Vanna for #6 Chloe Logarzo. Trainer helps her limp off.

69' 1-0 Canada subs in (3 of 3) #13 Sophie Schmidt for #8 Diana Matheson.
71' 1-0 Australia subs in (3 of 3) #17 Kyah Simon for #16 Michelle Heyman.

73' 1-0 Canada cross from the right to 6m left post, header scrum, ball skitters across and hits an up-bent arm in an unnatural posture. Penal.

73' 1-0 Beckie pk, right instep to left post low, Williams dives and blocks to 6-top left. A defender heads over endline left.

74' 1-0 Canada left ck, short? Beckie soft chip from 10m wide left, deflects off a head, toward right post scrum. Williams lunges out blind, plows into a 1-v-2, meets Fleming's left shoulder, inadvertent. Stays down for a bit.

77' 1-0 Canada 2-v-3 pell-mell counter across circle top box left, Beckie(?) diagonal cross leads Fleming (now at RF?) through box top mid-right to ~13m. Fleming shoots between Williams's legs, partially saved but it squeezes through and rolls behind -- Williams unweighted, can't dive for it! #_ comes across goalline, clears ball rightward, slides self into own right side netting so hard her shoe pokes through the mesh.

80' 2-0 Australia caught suicidally high above circle top, Canada chip up centerline and spring Sinclair through circle center. Williams sprints out to circle back left :oops:, Sinclair pokes past her -- all that green grass. Overtaken at 27m arc right, Sinclair chips over a slide-tackle, rolls into empty net. Canada's counter is :ninja:

90+3' (of +3') 2-0 AUS frantic cross to 14m 6-left, toppling-backward back-header well wide left, Buchanan blasts it into near touch.

FT 2-0. Australia's attack looked dangerous early, but Canada played very well once they were forced to defend-and-counter.

    And a goal from Sinclair!

No one just now tuning in would guess that Canada is playing a player down.
