I'm pretty sure it was on neutral ground unless they played the game in a war zone

Afghanistan should of easily taken the 3 points home against Singapore.

Singapore were outplayed in every department and missed 3-4 clear cut goals, very unlucky for Afghanistan.

I am happy that Japan won but I have to say that these Syrian players are pathetic.
It is unbelievable how much time they spent grassrolling.
I also watched 10 minutes of the match between Australia and Jordan and
these Jordanian players were even worse than the Syrian players.
Dont these Arab teams have any sense of honor.
I hope that none of the Arab teams will reach the World Cup or otherwise
they will disgrace whole Asian football.

To be fair there are some exceptions sometimes, I've never seen Iraq or Oman to some extent grassroll, at least against Iran. Apart from them, all AFC arabs are professional grassrollers

Same as Turkmens. It is a strategy for the weaker teams to waste time and keep their hopes high.

I will admit that Iraq never attempted to waste time against our team.
Iraq is probably the only decent Arab team.

Yes that's why I said "to some extent", but most of the time they don't from what I've seen

I swear that I will find this Qatari player one day and show him this video repeatedly. They started it with Bahrain. Iraq and Oman don't do this shiz

I don't remember the players involved besides Rahmati, and I do apologize for him. He's an idiot. I digress.

I don't see anyone taking any points from Syria in this group besides Japan. Kind of makes the second place fight a lot tougher.

It was only one player, who doesn't even play for the NT anymore. Iran never grassrolls, not against Asian opponents, nor against other continent opponents. There is just this match where Rahmati grassrolled badly against you guys and afterwards a trend started for Koreans, saying that we played "bed soccer", when it was one player in one match, but enough for you guys to generalize.

No other teams will say that we ever grassroll, even our own fans can't stand it and badly criticized Rahmati for that.

Time wasting is a tactic which grass rolling is the worst type of it. I remember when we played against Argentina Zabaleta was time wasting after they scored goal. I was like wow... I never expected a team like Argentina do that to us!:)

Under pressure to main thought for players is "don't let them score in our net."

29 March: Afghanistan v Singapore, Japan v Syria

In what has essentially been a two-horse race throughout the campaign, Japan can finish in first place as long as they avoid defeat at home to Syria, who they beat 3-0 in their previous encounter last October.

The Syrians, however, are presently the top-ranked runners-up and it will take a minor catastrophe for them to fail in advancing to the next stage of World Cup qualifiers and the 2019 Asian Cup.

Over at the netural venue of the Takhti Stadium in Tehran, Afghanistan have no way of climbing the table even if they third-placed Singapore, although that would give them a chance at being one of the four best fourth-placed sides and avoid the Asian Cup qualifying playoffs.

Japan created a huge amount of chances but they only won 5:0 against Syria. This is ridiculous.
