I'm going to this Copa America 2011 in Argentina. I hope they make tickets easy to buy when purchasing from other countries. Viva Mexico!!! Will players like Forlan be able to play scince it will be off season in La Liga?

This is definitely the group of death.

I think Chile is the most talented in the group. Uruguay, Mexico and Peru are clearly all candidates though.

I think Mexico is the most organized team, but the three other teams are just more talented (individual players). At the end of the day, it's who's going to use their resources more effectively.

Hopefully all the teams play with their star players.

Actually remember that Mexico is handicapped for this competition.

yeah... sorry about this guys. It's beyond our control when some fat bastard has the final say on your NT than the FMF itself. But you might have some challenge if some of our star players end up in the squad post-gold cup in June.

I guess it'll be more problematic than just to see who's fit after the Gold Cup, remember that the clubs aren't forced to release the players.

    O hai guise :)

Subs to CONCACAF constraints, and our real coach not coaching this tournament.

Still, 8 out of 12 teams qualify to the knockout stage. Difficult, but not impossible.

i've seen some names thrown around by your press and, if they're to be believed, the team looks like it'll be pretty competitive.

We (Uruguay) always start slow so we'll probably finish 2nd or as one of the 3rd best teams

Not if Mexico takes Club America's U-20. ;)

Trevino and Diego Reyes are sure starters of the squad. ;)

    TELL me about slow starts!!!!

just look what U20 did in peru last 3 weeks.....that team with 5 stars from europe will be able to make out grp stage in copa america.

now....I do not know if el enano Luna, is ready to face full grown defenders from chile or Mexico.

Probably not, but Uruguay is lacking a creative player in his position. I think Tabarez will have realized by now that Ignacio Gonzalez isn't up to it, and we still need to see what happens with Lodeiro at Ajax.

The player from the U-20 I could see moving into the main squad soon due to his versatility in defense is Diego Polenta. But, ultimately, I don't think Tabarez will want to interfere with the youth team with the Copa America and the U-20 World Cup in such close proximity to each other.

Well the team mexico is sending is crap, its sub-22, lacking the sub-22 who are going to play in the Gold Cup, and a lot of sub-20 that are going to play that category WC. Cant be reinforced with any of the players in the Gold Cup either, so yeah it would be like a B sub-22 with 5 B reinforcements.

Its to bad i always loved watch my NT in Copa America.

Anyway im very excited to see Uruguay play again, after Mexico ill be rooting for them.
