Has anyone seen the Fox ad promoting the final? It's riveting. It shows the Japanese winning PK in the 2011 final, followed by the O'Hara goal against Germany, and sets the stage for an epic rematch that, if you are a fan of this sport, you have to admit you have wanted to see in this WWC. I hope it launches a buzz and propels this game's TV viewership past the 1999 record.
Hmm I just watched it and it was ok but I've seen far more awesome fan-made videos on youtube. That MovementSoccer person has some incredibly inspirational videos on youtube, and there are other folks who have made awesome ones. Look up "uswnt celebrate" in youtube for example or "uswnt bangarang". Now that's inspiring!
There probably are more awesome fan ads that you have found. But this one is being shown on national tv to attract a national audience, and that is the positive that drew me to it.
The ad just ran again. One interesting thing about it is noteworthy. The screen on the text calls it the FIFA Women's World Cup Final. But, the voiceover simply calls it....The World Cup Final. This is big.
