Congratulations all you Granadinos on your promotion back to Primera. Last time Granada was in Primera Al Gore still had not invented the internet so unfortunately there is nothing to link it to. That being said, here is via wiki the history of Granada CF in English.

    (trrrrrrrrrrrr :D)

They dropped out in the mid-70s.

    What's going on so far...

They've kept quite a few of the Segunda block including the Udinese loans... signed Fran Rico off Real Madrid Castilla... got 4 players on loan from Benfica...

Will benefit greatly from the work stoppage. Geijo (F) underwent surgery... Legea broke off contract so NO uniforms yet ... roster still needs like 3 -4 players, especially forward. Guiza went with Getafe after all.

Some controversy as Quique Pina maintains management of GCF BUT ALSO now manages Cadiz CF and now Cadiz gets loaned players from Granada CF...

Merely staying afloat would be success.

Daniel Güiza of Fenerbahçe moved to Granada. Ex-national team player seeks success in his home country. Go Dani! :D

I should post here more often.

We left with the Guiza guy?... who actaully ended up in Getafe.

    Anyway...

Uche, who was loaned by Villareal to GCF, wants the Nigerian back. Frankly the kid has done just about NADA.

Fabri is doing a good job despite some criticisms.

Roberto at GK and the defense are playing pretty badass. Still can't "score on a rainbow"...

    What else?

Back when GCF was in "Tercera" (which is fourth division, really) and was in danger of going kaput, the city's basketball club, CB Granada, had established itself in 1st Division.

Less than a decade later it's the soccer team in 1st division and the b-ball team about to fold.

    To end, another vintage photo:

Reports in Granada are placing Fiorentina's BABACAR in Granada on a loan.

Nothing confirmed per se, but great move for an anemic offense if true.

No 2012-13 thread yet so let's make this the "Granada CF in Primera" thread without the year specifications...;) Right, Pichi?

Anquela was sacked just in time for Real Madrid. Lucas Alcaraz started coaching in his native Granada like in the mid 90s. It's been YEARS since granadinos wanted the homie to coach the club. Well, there ya go.

    Back home...

The offense has been sh&*%$ but they went and got ex-River man Buonanotte from Malaga and other signings which SHOULD keep the team afloat. Next year would be GCFs 20th year in Primera if they hold on.

The club not only saved itself yet again, but the ladies made it to Superliga Femenina for their FIRST TIME. Boys and girls!

    Meanwhile,
    -Iturra leaves Malaga for Granada
-Brahimi is now property of Granada after paying Rennais the clause
-Roberto, Mainz, and Nyom stay, Iñigo López and Borja leave
-Nolito and Recio likely return to their clubs (Benfica, Malaga)
-Siqueira and Mikel Rico (Bilbao) will look for offers/bigger clubs
-Possible signings include Piti (Rayo) and Pina (Mallorca) among other (rumors)
