Yea this is starting to look like a guaranteed libertadores place at this point... What did you think of the performance against Ponte? If Rildo played things would have been different.. Just kidding

not a good performance, but considering the mental and physical strain of the match against Santos on wednesday, I never expected the team to perform on full gear against Ponte.

I always felt Grêmio was playing at ease against Ponte... confident on its defensive strenght and hoping someone would score up in the front on some Ponte mistake.

I think the team would press more IF Betão did not commit that stupid mistake. But as soon as they scored, they would return to play easier.

So Ronaldinho said today that he wants to retire at PSG.

lol.. this guy must really hate Gremio or the feeling is very mutual.

well, certainly, it won´t be at Grêmio he will be retiring. Gremistas won´t allow it. He can barely return to his homecity anymore. I hope he retires in hell.

Well, true, but I can win against Aimoré if I play alone in a team and on a wheelchair.

    That´s preposterous!!

Grêmio needs a RESERVE goalkeeper!!! Marcelo Grohe is good enough to be our first goalkeeper! We need a reserve player for him!

Not a goalkeeper that will earn $$$$$$$$$$$ and put the awesome (and cheaper) Marcelo Grohe (raised on Grêmio) on the bench!

If Grohe goes to the bench again, at 27, he will certainly leave Grêmio. He has a career to keep and he is too good to be on the bench.

Looks like the diretoria isn't too big on Grohe by bringing in these veteran GKs.

I got your point, but when we have bad teams, such superiority is not shown. This team seems to be good (or, at least, capable of playing well). How good it is, we do not know yet.

It is only speculation at this point. I do not how he is doing in England, but it could be something Scolari is pushing to happen; not that the club need him or anything.

Send Grohe to DCU. :D actually, he might even ride the bench for Hamid.

Maybe send Saimon to DCU. If he doesn't work out as a player, he has another career to fall back on :p

JC isn't playing at all in England; that's the problem.

Both Scolari and Parreira 'blessed' this move to Gremio.

Talking DCU, if there is a position I am not worried is GK. Hamid is a demigod, man. However, Saimon would fit nicely in our backline. The kid has earned a lot of respect! ;)

that is no news to anyone. What baffles many gremistas is WHY Koff and Rui Costa don´t believe in Grohe. He is an excellent goalkeeper. There may be a few better goalkeepers available that´s true, but there are certainly BETTER fullbacks, back midfielders, etc, than the ones we have. So why spend money in expensive goalkeepers?

I can only see as a favor, a part of a deal involving Grêmio, Scolari/Parreira/CBF and JC's agent which would include a player who could fill a spot where we need more.

By the way, who is JC's agent?

I believe Gremio already shot down the notion of bringing in JC

the building looks small, but it´s actually enormous, 190 x 14 m for a total of 2660 m² of built area, larger than São Paulo's Barra Funda CT.
