Re: Gold Cup Final We bought ours today - 20 tickets total. 23A rows 22/23, seats 1-10. See yall there.... unless we arent in it.
Re: Gold Cup Final That is why I haven't picked mine up yet, if somehow Honduras or Canada (no offense, but not a fan) make the final, I'd have to go in order not to waste tickets.
Re: Gold Cup Final Canada I could take. But if I had to watch Costa Rica vs Mexico or some other non sense. I will be seriously angry about my $80 or whatever it is.
Re: Gold Cup Final Haha, I'm the opposite, I'd attend a Mexico vs. Costa Rica anytime. Have you bought your GC Final tickets or are you waiting?
Re: Gold Cup Final I bought mine already, since I have to fly half way across the country, I don't feel like getting there and finding out its sold out. I'd just have a cheering interest if it was Canada. Otherwise I'll probably pick the country I hate the least.
Re: Gold Cup Final Good idea, if the final is US vs. Mexico, it will sellout. Mexico vs. Paraguay in Oakland later this month sold out about 3 weeks ago.
Re: Gold Cup Final My guess is it sells out no matter what. I mean, maybe, if both Mexico and the US lose to Jamaica and Guadeloupe in the semifinals, maybe...
Re: Gold Cup Final Maybe, but I see a lot of empty seats if the final doesn't have Mexico or the US involved. Even when the media played up the US / Iran game at the Rose Bowl a few years back there were many empty seats, we'll see how this one goes.
Re: Gold Cup Final Is there a hotel near the Rose Bowl that people would recommend, under $125/night? I think Nevada Eagle mentioned he'd already made a reservation. Just bought mine a couple of minutes ago. Not far from you: 23A, row 22, seat 15 See you there.
Re: Gold Cup Final Priceline.com is your friend. I haven't paid more than $70 for a 3 star hotel for my entire gold cup trip. (Houston, Detroit, DC etc) Although in some cases I took options further from the stadium than some might be interested in. If you start now, put in $50, and each day add $10, in a couple days you'll be guaranteed a decent room at less than you $125 mark. Just a tip.
Re: Gold Cup Final Trips on expense are my friend. I'm working on a project in the LA area through that time, so my tab is covered if I keep it below a buck and a quarter. Still, would like to be near wherever the drinking will be. I assume AO will have a hotel discount at some point, but would like to reserve one in advance just in case. Also, not terribly familiar with the Pasadena area.
Re: Gold Cup Final Most of the hotels seem to be in down town Pasadena, about two miles from the Rose Bowl. I don't think they are cheap though. Listed prices I see are $140 to $200.
Re: Gold Cup Final That's cool you are going to follow the US through their Gold Cup games! If I go, I'll probably just make the final, and make a weekend out of it in SoCal.
Re: Gold Cup Final I'm hitting all the US games. Detroit, Tampa, Kansas City, DC, Houston, LA (the last three hopefully) Hopefully my car doesn't break down.
Re: Gold Cup Final i dont have the time or the energy to drive but as of right now im planning on doing: NYC-DTW-NYC NYC-TPA-NYC NYC-ORD-MCI-ORD-NYC NYC-DCA-NYC NYC-DFW-HOU-DFW-NYC NYC-LAX-NYC should be a nice mileage boost!
Re: Gold Cup Final I don't have the wallet or I would fly! Plus getting around cities such as Detroit, Kansas City and Tampa seems to be much easier and cheaper by car.
Re: Gold Cup Final yeah, driving is certainly a good way to get around. i just cant take the whole week off from work so im doing more strategic strikes in and out of cities....
