Greenwood simply can not stop scoring at the moment. Got himself a hattrick last weekend vs Blackburn, another goal midweek vs YB. And today vs WBA, he scored a brace to help the U18s get the win. Traore and Brandon Williams were the other players on the scoresheet for United's 3-4 victory.
Atleast, some of us are winning. #MUAcademy U19s: FT - #MUFC 4 Valencia 0. Cool finishes from Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong and Millen Baars, plus Josh Bohui's first-half opener, make it two wins from two in the #UYL for Nicky Butt's side. pic.twitter.com/3fCFyF9Nch— Manchester United (@ManUtd) October 2, 2018

Another kid I'm very eager to see how he develops in the next couple of years. We really need the next manager to be pretty youth conscious, just because of the serious talent we've got potentially coming down the pike. Greenwood, just 16, has a great physique, some solid fundamentals and his scoring instincts appear to be legit. He could very well be a factor by 18, provided he keeps his head down and continues improving his game.
We looked good against Valencia. Some notes: Gomes played well. A lot more involved in build up play than usual. His range if passing and ability to keep it simple in tight spaces helped best Valencia's press. Bohui's movement is good for a kid. Really unsure as to what his best position is. Chong remains electric. Beyond everyone and everything at an underage level. Laird is one to watch. Composed, understands his role as RB, agressive but under control. Needs development to be sure but a good prospect. Greenwood is fun to watch. He's so quick and has little intuitions about what might work. I don't think he will make it here, but it won't be for lack of intelligence or experimentation. Whoever our number 6 is, bless him, but he should do well at school because he won't be in the game long. Just chases and gets stuck in.
#MUAcademy U18s: FT - #MUFC 3 Newcastle 0. A first-half brace from Ethan Galbraith, plus Aliou Traore's cool finish, ensure a fourth successive win in all competitions for our youngsters. pic.twitter.com/QKfH86h9nr— Manchester United (@ManUtd) October 6, 2018
Barlow training with the first team. I always liked him, he was deployed as a striker a few years back, now he is more of a midfielder. He is quick and technically very gifted. His passing range is still in question.
Last few games I've seen we've featured Gomes deeper in midfield. As in, not the 10, but as a legit 8. We've known his passing range is good, but his organization is good too. Gets stuck in as well, despite his small frame. He looks like a good fit in that position at least for U23 and U19 games.
Things appear to be much better for Tuanzebe ever since the new manager came on board. He's a regular at CB, next to James Chester and they look a solid partnership at the back now for Villa. Villa are currently winning 0-3 vs Derby away and the defense is looking at another cleansheet.
Mason Greenwood has been on fire this season. Scored a couple and had an assist for the U18s vs Norwich. Bringing his total now to 34 goals, 13 assists in 32 games since joining the U18s last season. You obviously want to take it easy, since he is still so young (he just turned 17), but seeing how easy it looks for him at U18 level, would like to see what he can do with the U23s.
Was not aware of that: was thinking about him joining the U23s sometime this season on a more permanent basis though. Watching him play with the U18s, it looks almost too easy for him: he's bigger and better than most of the kids he's facing there. The U23s seems like it would make for a good challenge for him.
'Caughtoffside', I get it but it does not change the facts highlighting the progress Tuanzebe has made since Smith became Villa's manager. And the lavish praise he's been getting of late... www.caughtoffside.com/2018/11/03/could-walk-into-man-utds-team-mufc-loanee-lavished-with-praise-impressive-stats-back-stellar-performance/ It's not a fluke or coincidence either, as Villa have been consistently solid for the past few weeks, with Tuanzebe right in the thick of it.

The goal was meh but the run by Chong to drag the defender wide and clear out space was beautiful. Good to see such intelligent runs from the kid at such a young age. He could teach Rash a thing or two.
