Highly touted Brazilian player Gabriel Martinelli still on trial with United. www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/3167336/manchester-united-taking-another-look-at-brazilian-forward-gabriel-martinelli
Jadon Sancho was left of City's preseason roster (assuming because he didnt sign a new contract) and now he wants to leave City. If our youth set up is as good as people think it is, he will join us.
United are interested, but as expected, there will be competition for him. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-news-jadon-sancho-13409174
CBJ to Leeds on loan is all but done. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-news-borthwick-jackson-13435497 He's passed his medical, so it's a matter of time. The silver lining here is that he hasn't been sold (yet), so if he gets to play and does well, it could be a timely reminder of his quality and what he could potentially bring to the team.
Not good enough. Doesn't offer anything beyond crosses. Not especially quick, not a good dribbler, can't defend.
Disagree on CBJ's quality (at least what he showed when he was with our first team): he's got plenty of pace, was a tenacious defender and could put a decent cross in. He still had things to learn but he's still just a kid. The way I see it, he's currently the second best LB available behind Darmian. And unless he's regressed somehow in the past year, I feel it's a mistake to discard him the way we Jose has...
TFM loaned to Crystal Palace for the season. Hopefully Timothy Fosu-Mensah will develop as a player with regular playing time. Best of luck as he completes his loan to Crystal Palace. pic.twitter.com/aOGxN7DqS5— UtdPlug (@UtdPlug) August 10, 2017
I signed up for NBCSN gold for that freaking reason. He made a huge tackle unbelievable save. Came off for James Tomkins.
Quick recap: Not involved as much. De Boer started with a back three which most of the current players are not used to at all. He did what he was supposed to do when called upon. Nothing extraordinary except for that specific moment where it was like ridiculous. Maybe someone can put the highlight. Completed accurate passes to his midfielder and wing back pretty easy. The goal that they scored were not his fault, unless someone can correct me on this.

Put this in the transfer thread, but The Mail seems to think Pereira is off to Valencia on a year loan.
AP appears to leaning towards a United stay. www.espnfc.com/story/3185801/andreas-pereira-would-prefer-man-united-amid-valencia-interest-sources
I thought James Wilson had been sold. Looking forward to see what he's got today (MUTV shortly), but it's hard to imagine him ever breaking into the first team with the following names ahead of him: Romelu Lukaku Marcus Rashford Zlatan Ibrahimovic But you never know.
Depending on his injury recovery he would be a decent option to have around. At the moment if Lukaku went down you would presumably see Rashford at #9 and Martial on the left which would leave us with sparse attacking options from the bench.
I like James but I doubt he'll ever reach the level required of a United striker. We shall see. Spurs 2, United 0 after 14 minutes.
