United youth titbits from the Valleys: Iestyn Hughes(Utd u14) represented Wales u15 in two friendly matches in Brittany last week, and now Ollie James-Denham(Utd u15) has been selected for a short tour of Qatar where Wales u15 will play against Ajax Amsterdam and Aspire Academy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- United sign Gundogan ! http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...oungster-Levent-Gundogan-transfer-news-gossip
Slovakia u17 international Martin Murcko(Partizan Bardejov) is currently on trial at Manchester United, the 16-year-old midfielder had a similar trial at Man City in December, but we won't hold that against him if he signs for United. There's an image doing the rounds of him holding the EFL trophy, well if Wayne can be pictured with it....
Manchester's Cold War - City & United's hunt for young talent, but at what cost? It is a wet winter Saturday on a muddy playing field in an unprepossessing part of south Manchester. The river Mersey slides past behind a row of trees planted to provide shelter from the wind, chill gusts cutting through the gaps where saplings were torn out by local kids to sell on elsewhere. On the pitches, children of every size are playing football: four- and five-year-olds being taught the game, three teams of under-nines, the same again of under-10s. Dogs are being walked, and dogs are being allowed to do what dogs naturally do. By the changing rooms, a woman collects subs of £2 a child, less if they have brothers or sisters playing and the extra cost would mean one of them missing out... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-sh/longform_manchester_cold_war

United win this one 2-0 with Bohui and Buffonge both on the scoresheet, to send the U18s to the playoffs for the Youth Championship. Buffonge again, with another terrific performance today.

Interesting write up on Varela, unfortunately having a difficult year because of injuries... www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/manchester-united-news-guillermo-varela-12722456 Would not have minded have him stay at the club, as Valencia's main backup. A function he could still possibly fulfill next season, if Jose elects against bringing in another RB this summer. If he gets back 100% physically, why not?
100%, which is why I'm an active proponent of bringing him back, especially in we plan on standing pat at that position.
Championship strugglers Wigan Athletic have parted company with boss Warren Joyce after only four months.....
Sad for Joyce and curious what's next for him. He probably wouldn't go for it, but he should be brought back to manage the U23 team.
Warren should go home, put his feet up for a few hours, have a brew, have a nap if need be, and then report to Old Trafford so he can replace Nicky Butt in charge of the u23 side against Southampton tonight.

Strange decision by Man City to make it parents only.
Just finished watching it and didn't see your post. There you go, removed it: I hope you're happy now...
Jeez Ashur, it was an reasonable question(though pointless as if you had put me on ignore you wouldn't have seen it anyway, doh) considering your only post re. the Mini Derby today started it finished 2-2 Anyhow, a few are now suggesting the 2nd goal was scored by Dearnley, having seen it any way he can claim it ?
