    United name squad for Bray

Manchester United are set to take a provisional 19-man Reserves squad to Ireland for Sunday's friendly against Bray Wanderers.

Warren Joyce can call upon the services of exciting forward Tom Lawrence, who made his first-team debut last term. A number of other players who reached the Barclays Under-21 Premier League final are travelling and there is plenty of experience in the shape of Tom Thorpe, Marnick Vermijl and Davide Petrucci.

Several Academy graduates have also been promoted to the party, including striker Ashley Fletcher, and they look certain to push for regular inclusion as the second-string's season progresses.

Squad: Kieran O'Hara, Joel Castro Pereira; Callum Evans, Donald Love, Tom Thorpe, Ryan McConnell, Paddy McNair, Saidy Janko, Guillermo Varela, Marnick Vermijl; Ben Pearson, Andreas Pereira, Davide Petrucci, Joe Rothwell, Sean Goss, Josh Harrop, Matty Willock; Tom Lawrence, Ashley Fletcher.

    What's up with Henriquez too?

He's stalled his career joining us if i am being honest. Was a Chile International already and hence got a work permit and probably would have been at the WC at the rate he was progressing there.

Valencia gonna be the backup RB then this season ?

That's very interesting. Just speaking to Vermijl. LVG mau bed g taking a different approach to the tour. He may well make lasting personnel decisions and this he left out some kids because he will give them more time. #wishful

Vermijl is disappointed to not be going on tour. Said Moyes had promised he'd be part of it. Also said his agent is looking for a new club.

    The Peoples Person @PeoplesPerson_ · 8m

Vermijl also said LVG took him aside on Thursday + told him he took 2 players per position (Rafa+Smalling). LVG took 4 goalkeepers on tour.

So Smalling is going as Backup RB as per Vermijl.

So if LvG wants to implement a system right down to the reserves and youth teams, could we see a reserve squad line up like this:

    Wilson W. Keane
    Lawrence

    James Lingard Pearson Janko

    Blackett Thorpe M. Keane

    Johnstone

Will Keane shouldn't be with the u21s, he has to either go on loan, be given a cyance or sold.

The front 3 would have Perreira as well

Rashford seems to be starring at the Milk Cup. Has grown physically a bit too.

Doesn't seem to have joined up, or been spotted on tour at all so far so got to assume that report was incorrect from Jamie Jackson. Neither has he been involved in the reserve pre season games.

Not sure what is up with him and nobody seems to know but got to be a injury of some kind which has again affected him at the absolute wrong time. He's not been exactly injury prone but the timing of his injury breaks have been as wrong as they can be for him last 2 years.

Edit - There were rumors of his DUI leading to US Visa problems as well, but i doubt that's the case as he hasn't been involved with the U21s either.

Not the best performance (Seemed bit tired and missing a few players ) but Champions again.

    Really liked the goal.

Some talented players in this group and still missing Kehinde, Makela and Kenyon.

Didn't catch the game. How has Borg been?I believe he's on trial at the moment.

Impressed by Borg. Was good positionally, decent physique for his age and pace and had good left footed technique as well. Burst down the wings and created a couple of good chances and gave their most dangerous player no room.

We should sign him based on tonight, and our lack of LB's.

Obi was the other trialist playing as Striker and he was Ok but didn't look as good.

    ......

Player of the Tourney Thompson was poor today, Gribbin was sloppy as well but he upped his game for a period in 2nd half and had some real classy moments as well.

To me Gribbin seems the best talent of this batch along with Rashford. Need to see more of Kehinde who has Visa problems when we travel, and Kenyon though who is always injured.
