I tell you that thread was cursed ! With a new thread, he finds new fitness and has a monster season. And now that winter is almost there, we surely will need dragons !
A raven arrived from the Citadel at my house this morning. A white raven. Winter is here. Here's to this new thread bringing Bale better luck with his health so he can scorch the league as he was destined to.
CR7 - Mbappe Disco Isco We all know Welsh dragon will spend half of the season in Catacombs of Meereen a.k.a medical facilities.
Call me whatever you want but I don't want that dragon to play so many games. I'd rather we develop and keep amazing players like Isco,Kova,Asensio etc happy than start the 28 yo dragon who ruins the tactics and formation. Yet he'll get injured and go missing as usual.
I don't understand this at all. Bale in form is a fantastic player. His problem is injuries and getting back up to speed afterwards. If he plays many games, he won't be injured as much and he'll most likely have a great season.
I don't agree with that statement. When he's on Bale is tearing it up in a way few others are capable to do. Not saying Isco isn't a better player for us, but man Bale is a monster when he's in form.
Still want him to leave. Brings the development of several players in danger, while all he can do is run and head.
for me, the most important fact is that Isco makes THE TEAM better than Bale does. You can see how Kroos and Modric enjoy playing with Isco.
This is true. He is tremendous when he is completely healthy with a long run under him. If he could maintain this there wouldn't be so much venom thrown at him. He has shown us he can't. Too injury prone and takes him too long to get back to top form after injury. Anyways, I believe this should be his last season regardless of how he plays. His game is built on pace. He hasn't transitioned the way we thought he would as an all out scoring machine although his heading is fantastic. Might as well sell high.
Don't think even his biggest fan would argue against that. If we can get an offer that's good enough heshould be sold. We need players who are here for the entire campaign, not sidelined for 2-5 months each season.
Yeah, I too agree with that. But in regards to what @MaxY said if he plays 90% of the games next season, he isn't injured much and then he'll probably have a great season. Like @AriGold I think Bale's top level is better than Isco's.
Bale has only played 56% of our games since 2013. That's a pathetic return for the investment we've put into him. Judging by that next season is unlikely to be any different
A point to take into consideration is team style. We as Madrid fans have not prioritized style of play as much for many years now, but things are finally changing for us. Our versatility has skyrocketed. No longer is Barca the only team that can truly possess against the best. Our style of play is completely different between Isco and Bale, although both are world class players. With Isco in the lineup, we can dominate the ball, possess as good as anybody, and create some aesthetically pleasing football. With Bale in the lineup, we lose some control in the midfield, but we can be more direct and vertical in the attack. We've had CL level success with both lineups, but I tend to favor the Isco lineup. That midfield dominance we had against Juve cannot be replicated with Bale in the lineup.
