Time was up after his stunning CL performance.

Instead of cashing in on him at his highest value we keep him because Florentino wants his guys to succeed at all cost.

Top three player in the world when healthy my ass.
Get rid of him and get someone like Martial/Chuky if Hazard or Dybala are unattainable but replace him please.
    And do it this winter.

The entire front line was toothless again. Benz at least put in some effort.
We got lucky and saved by the 18 year old.

    Here's the problem with bale:
    1. He actually believe the press thinking he is top 3 or top 5 in the world.
    2. He actually believe that he can play as a striker/forward/advance central role
    3. He is injured a lot.

If he stop believing in #1& #2, and understand that he is a very fast winger, maybe we can benefit from him on the front and also helping the left/right backs.

Where he plays now, he is useless.
He will leave on his own this summer.

I agree, i think he stayed because Ronaldo left, but at this rate, he's getting a lot of mileage on that engine, and i think by the end of the season people might be pushing for Vinicius so hard that he'll feel really threatened.

Ironically Benzema performed well once Vinicius came on, but the thing with Benzema is that he's acutally a very capable player overall, so the quicker and more mobile the player next to him, the better he can exploit spaces. His finishing sucks, but Bale i think had only one shot, the header that went wide.

Benzema also played very well with Vinicius mid week, if you watch them in training the two of them connect well with 1-2s, another reason why Vini should start more as hell bring the best out of others aroudn him.

Benzema for me anyway is a far more intelligent footballer than Bale. Bale looks to me like a fullback who is filling in up top at times, he can provide very service on the form of a cross for teammates at times but his game is very reliant on superior athleticism. Benzema makes better runs for teammates, more interplay, basically everything you'd expect from an attacker but at times Benzema over complicates things which is magnified by his lack of pace.

Bale just doesn't work well with a possession based team. When we countered more often he made more sense. Just doesn't seem in the flow with the rest of the squad and seems unwilling to take the down the right side and crossing in. Always dribbling onto his left and basically switching the ball after dribbling across half the field.

People want to bench or sell a big player all time Real Madrid great in favour of Marco Asensio and Vazquez who are mid table epl player just like Jesé, Deulofeu and Bojan were. Pathetic. People hate Bale because he’s British. His goal record is absolutely brilliant.
73 goals in 136 la Liga games is a record of a goal less than very 2 games, excellent for a player who isn’t a striker.

Like it or not Bale has had a better Real Madrid playing career than Zidane. Yet who is the one who is the legend and the one who is hated? If Bale’s names of Baleinho you would all love him.

You people don’t deserve Gareth. If the club sell Bale then the club will become the new Ac Milan as all will be left are Vazquez, Asensio and an unknown Brazilian player.

Sorry for the outburst, but it annoys me how Bale is always made the scapegoat after all he has done for the club while other players who have less talent than Bale has in his toe get away without criticism because they are Spanish.

I don't think anyone here wants him benched so that Asensio or LV can play, those two players have been fairly and justly criticized a lot too. The idea is that we need a world class player who performs consistently in that position and Bale with his form drops and injuries isn't offering us that. Right now we don't have a better option for the RW so he will keep playing but i hope he finds his top form back again because we need him. He was given a huge chance this year and he isn't delivering till now.

No one is doubting what he has done for us and actually if we don't want to end up like AC Milan we need to do something about Bale, not cope with him and hope he's healthy and in form for the next few years.

Applying the same logic, Zidane was never a Real Madrid great either then.

Nostalgia is a wonderful thing. Zidane was a lot more inconsistent than Bale was. Zidane is remembered for that goal against Leverkusen but over the course of a season he was very inconsistent. Bale’s achieved a lot more than Zidane did at Madrid . Bale has performed and scored in 3 major finals, has a brilliant goal scoring record in la Liga and won 4 champions leagues. Before Bale arrived, the team hadn’t won the champions league for 13 years

    Zidane > >>>>>>>
    >>>>>>Bale

Even when he played for us.

What am I reading here?. lol

Never ever seen Bale do what Zizou used to do on the pitch. They are also completely different players ..
bale is a leftback with pace who became a winger and the other was an attacking mid who was a magician with the ball.

Winning throphies is a team accomplishment including the coach.
To compare players based on team accomplishments is absurd and only done when you have nothing else of value as argument.

The irony is that Bale was the most expandable superstar player in last years - injuries included. Which is why he was benched for two finals. And in the other two he started he failed to produce a goal in RT despite having golden chances. Trying to compare him with Zidane and what he meant for Madrid is absolutely moronic.
