This- was away from the desk too long today. He's no major fan-boy, but he's been vocal with supprt this way.

There's got to be some kind of US soccer nerd game we could come up with using teammates. Between Fulham and Rangers (and Stoke and a few others) you could probably connect any Capped US player with another capped US player in like 3, maybe 4 teams - extra points if the players you connect through were on the team at the same time.

3 Yanks at United a 1 time. Were the English a little paranoid about the potential of them succeeding?

Exactly the type of player I would expect them to sign.

NYCFC needs an expensive DP to replace Lampard on the injured reserve.

He might come in on that TAM level around 750K a year. He's not a DP level player and I think he may just want to play closer to home and not in it for money (or at least not the main motivating factor).

If Rossi comes to MLS, he is essentially giving up on any further call-ups to Italy. Seeing how well Giovinco played here and was still not selected for the Euros, it's hard to see how Rossi could play any better than that. No way Italy is selecting an MLS player for their 2018 WC squad.

Rossi needs a season of uninterrupted play; I'm sure he'd gladly take a productive, injury-free year, no matter where is was. His money and marketing opportunities may be quite good here though.

There's no way Italy is calling up a guy who plays 279 league minutes in half a season either.

He hasn't played for Italy in over 2 years. I'm pretty comfortable saying his international career is over.

Sounds more like a NYCFC signing.

If he does sign with MLS, I wonder what kind of reception he will get in stadia around the country.

I'm drinking one less beer per game next year if that happens. A man must have principles.

    Scored in Copa del Ray:

    http://www.goal.com/es/match/celta-de-vigo-vs-valencia/2386878/report (in Spanish)

    Translated:

Giuseppe Rossi was again the starter and proved to Berizzo that the talent is not forgotten and, although it continues dragging a state of limited physical form, returned to answer his coach with goals before the slightest opportunity to play.

With an impeccable attitude, Rossi pressed as the most while his strength lasted, which was half an hour in the first part and 20 minutes of the second. In addition, he scored a good goal from outside the area and was about to convert another of beautiful bill after haggling to the defense ché.

Football Lazio, EXCLUSIVE agent Rossi: "Offers from the US, China and Mexico. He will leave Celta"

"There is talk of many teams interested in Rossi. But the speech is actually very simple - Pastorello explained exclusively to Calciomercato.it -: Giuseppe can not move in the transfer market this winter session, as he has already taken the field with the jerseys of two different clubs and regulation does not allow you wear a third. In this sense, hypothetically, could only return to play for Fiorentina. But this is a far-fetched hypothesis. as for the future, I think that at the end season will leave the Celta Vigo. his intention is to stay in Europe to play, although offers have arrived from the United States, China and Mexico . I was by Giuseppe last week and we arranged to meet to make a point of the situation towards the end of February. so far then, nothing has been decided and all the tracks are equally viable. "
