He should have scored. Semi-sitter, keeper forced to move his feet, far post agape, he steered it outside anyway w/ his head. Had about half the goal to shoot at from around the six yard box.
He was uncharacteristically passive. Understandable given the moment. Reminded you again he's still just 16. But so was Leyva in fairness, and he greatly out-shone him on the night. Amazed by his poise, work-rate, football i.q., and solid skills. Gotta think he impressed BVB or even bigger clubs to pique their interest further, if they weren't already sniffing around.
I thought He looked pretty solid given the circumstances. Movement was good, made good passes and almost scored
From espn match report he was a sub but then he was subbed out. I know it’s a friendly with more subs than the normal 3 but why was he subbed out?
Pretty sure that's why all subs are made . i meant, why would he be a sub, get into the game, and then be subbed off? I was hoping it wasn't because of either ineffective play or injury.
I want to see this for Leyva. I keep telling bare man that he may be the biggest talent from that U-17 side.
Just as I thought, the kid can ball. He might be the best prospect on that U-17 side, including Reyna, and I think Reyna will be a very good player as well.

Gio involved right away and gets an assist - I guess you could call it - sitting on his backside for a BvB goal.
He kinda looks like he's playing on instinct alone. I doubt he understands where to be in their system or the tendencies of his teammates.
