The wife tries to get me a book each year she knows I would like, but she this year she's a bit stumped and wanted some ideas. I got a copy of the Official Chicago Sting History a few years back and loved it. I wanted some books related (even if it's a couple chapters) to the old indoor soccer leagues like MISL, NPSL, and the CISL. Anyone able to give a thumbs up or down on the following titles, and suggest any others?...

And @Beau Dure , if I buy this will you write a history of indoor soccer from the rise of the MISL through the demise of the NPSL?...Please? ;-)

I have partially read the Wichita Wings book, it is a hoot. Lots of first hand interviews and sources. A lively read. One Wings employee wasn't that impressed with Zungul, noting that he was cross-eyed and looked like he had been whacked with a skillet. Even in Wichita, many of these guys made good money. Information on team finances is provided as well.
