    Good luck to Eugen Polanski! ;)

    I've had some sympathies for Getafe before his move ... but now they are definitely the Spanish team I'm cheering for!

    Getafe...what a team! I didn't know much about them at all before the second leg against Bayern this year, but they impressed the crap out of me...I wanted to cry when they were denied the victory...outplayed Bayern MUNICH (one of my teams) with 10 men...just great balompie.
    They really need to do away with this away-goal-aggregate rule...its such a disservice to teams like Getafe.
    Getafe's (lower-middle table) performance against Bayern (powerhouse) is just more proof that La Liga has the best teams from top to bottom. Espanyol impressed me in the last Uefa Cup.
    Too bad they lost De La Red, but i'll be cheering for them anyways....but not over Villareal or Valencia...I hope Altidore gets some serious playing time...

    Is this Bayer Leverkusen?

    ;)

    Seriously, no Spanish guys around here?

    Must be tough being the 3rd or 4th club from Madrid.

    Actually, Getafe is at first place in La Liga chart. Ok, it is the first game of the season, but you have to be there ;).

    Soldado was great, but Parejo was even better. Great news for Real Madrid fans as he is on loan in Getafe.

    And a clarification. It is just Miguel Torres. Nothing to do with Curro Torres, who was also a right-back and played for Valencia.

    You guys know stuff over here.

    I'm trying to find information about La Liga's tv rights - mostly within Spain. Is it sold by the individual clubs or as a league?

    ===

    Now what is new in Getafe world?

    They say the want to rename the team as "Team Dubai", but tht's still not sure. We could get our own "New York Red Bulls" :)

    Seriously, i think it would be a tremendous mistake to rename the team: for good or bad, football in Spain is much about local or regional identity.
