They've had a lot of bad days lately.

Well, France had 2 clear-cut chances in the first half in addition to their penalty.

Germany might want to mix things up a bit. How many times do they try that overlap-run on the wing and then cut a pass back to the middle of the box play? They couldn't even fool Evra after around the 10th time trying it.

Germany was the better team but didn't score. I love Mueller but he just failed big time this tournament. Germany was very unlucky with the injuries of Khedira, Gomez and the ban of Hummels (both yellow cards very doubtful), then Boateng also get injured today. At the end, Germany had so many chances this Euro but just didn't score properly. I miss Miro Klose ;-) Anyway, congrats to France, they just were clinical with their few chances...

I do think Germany have had it quite a bit harder than France though. Poland I think are a little better than Switzerland. Northern Ireland and Ukraine are better than Albania and Romania. Ireland is a little better than Slovakia.

Italy was the big one, but they are comparable to Germany. You might be right.

Anyway France won now, and honestly Germany didn't look that convincing. This is definitely not the World Cup 2014 Germany in any way. I think the penalty France scored put a lot of pressure on Germany, and after Boateng went off it was game over.

I agree, the 2nd goal wouldn't have happened with Boateng still there. Also, the way Boateng (and Hummels) open the game was missing after his injury. Anyway, Germany had a big problem with goalscoring, that's why France deserves to be in the final. Griezmann is unbelievably good and i am really surprised he is staying at Atletico.

Germany played a great match, until it came to scoring. Transition from defense to offense was way to slow and the passing of the ball was just getting in my nerves like it did vs Italy. This was even worse.

France perhaps didn't deserve to win but we did deserve to lose. We didn't score. We can't score.

Not totally new. Final 98. Ronaldo sudden seizures lol. Playing in France against the home team is difficult. They gain maximum advantage. If I see another crazy handball I'm saying the fix is in. Someone check schweinsteiger's and boateng's bank account lol. Boateng tried to let them through on a easy missed header before the handball. Lucky Howedes did not let it happen.

Germany really blew their chances here in not bringing in another striker. Some are blaming the loss on Loew since it was his decision to bring Poldi instead.

I can't blame him for the on field play, the players played their hearts out but couldn't score...but it is on Loew to not have a plan B.

Did you forget Henry's handball vs Ireland? What about the 98 WC final? Robbing games isn't new to any nation.

What about the '98 World Cup final?

Please, let's hear about how we literally poisoned human beings in order to win a football game.

There's also the whole thing with changing the seeding rules to let France (last place) in Europe into an easy World Cup 2014 group with Switzerland? Effectively putting Italy, England, Uruguay, and Costa Rica into a group.

Good point, I think they wanted us to win in Brazil. Someone messed up along the way and forgot to let the ref know for the Germany game because that foul that Kroos got, which resulted in Germany's only goal, was not a foul.

It's embarrassing how little we've won considering how much we've been favored the past two decades or so.

Yeah Germany had problems scoring throughout the whole tournament honestly, and I can't understand why. They did so well in 2014.

I think its time to move Kroos back to attacking midfield. Also Klose loss was a bigger blow then most people thought as well. Muller though was a disaster, completely out of form.

I don't think you have been favored that much at all. Just sort of lucky with some draws. I mean 2006 world cup you were not favored at all. 2014 qualifying you got a tough draw but managed to win the playoffs. I think its just all about luck, however 2002 W.C. was definitely rigged.

Oh, man...you are really going to blame the ref on your lose? LOL.. You're looking for excuses.

Here, let me show you how it is done: Today, Germany outplayed France for most of the match and got a fairly soft PK after embarrassing the home team for 45 minutes. But in the end, France won because they scored two more goals than Germany. Ref could have called a PK for Germany as well, but he didn't. Not his fault. We failed to score more than our opponent despite being better in almost everything else. We lost, not the refs fault, but our fault. We did not find the back of the net, they did.

Try that and 2014 may be a bit easier of a pill for you to swallow.

I was joking. I thought that was painfully obvious.

Germany were the superior team in 2014 in every single way. They were worthy winners and I can even find multiple posts in which I've said that. Hopefully that won't be necessary.

And yet, while I was joking, here you are, doing exactly what you accused me of doing. The penalty was not soft. Was it not a handball?

No, it was...but did it really prevent a goal scoring situation? Did Piggy really try to deflect the ball and gain advantage using his hand?

No, I don't think so. I thought the call could have gone either way. The ball was not going in and it was unintentional. I'm not contesting the decision. Frings in 2002...well, the US got robbed, but if the ref didn't call this hand ball, I think most people (neutrals) would not have said France was robbed.

Which thread? Do you have a picture of the handball? I vaguely remember something about a handball.
