Anyone have news about Huth's injury?

Khedira might find it harder to get starts next season.
Let's face it, Sahin is superior and I agree with Honigstein that Real does
    not really need a "ball-winner".

    I think they might go:

    Alonso, Sahin
    Özil
    Dimaria
    Slimey
    Higuain/Benz

Still, even if that happens imo Sami will not have a hard time finding a new club.
    We'll see.

Eh not a problem. They can easily play with all three in midfield like they did with Pepe in the clasicos. And Sahin can also be a long term replacement for Alonso.

There were worries when Khedira first moved to Real that he wouldn't play over Alonso and Diarra. I think we may be underestimating him.

I think they will at times. Tactical flexibility is one of the most important things in modern football. Madrid are building a tremendous squad with several good options.

Guys Alexander Merkel. What do you think of him?

I have seen him play a few times but had thought he wouldn't play for Germany. But only been reading up now and it seems he DOES want to play for Germany.

One for the Schweini role in the future perhaps. I just hope he gets more playing time in Milan.

Man Germany is the home of midfield maestros! We need more young defenders!

He combines the best elements of both me and Angela Merkel. I've no idea what those are (maybe wearing brightly coloured blazers while arguing on the internet).

I am really not sure that this was a smart move. Such a troubled club, and 'only' EL, in Valencia he could have played CL...

I read "The 38-year-old has been" and thought to myself "kinda harsh, but not entirely wrong", but then I realized that it reads "The 38-year-old has been snapped...".

Former Bayern and Köln keeper Steffan Wessels had a very good game for Odense vs Villareal in the CL.

He also looked quite 90's/00's Liverpudlian with his red, Carlsberg adorned kit. ;)

They let him play some matches as a kind of libero, probably to strengthening the defense in a "Rehhagel style". Well, but the last match Frings returned to his midfield position and TFC got a nice result.

    That was indeed well done.

Btw: Beside Klose another (former) German international scored this weekend.
Kevin Kuranyi made the 2-0 at a 4-0 away win of Dinamo at CSKA Moscow.

How did Mertesacker do? Is he ready to make some cool mistakes against Dortmund or not?

Heard that he did alright, wasn't troubled much. But then again, they played Swansea.
