Reserve captain does not = 1st team player. I'm sorry but being a good third division player does not equate to being able to play in the 1. Liga. Bayern's staff must have saw something with Haas that they were not comfortable with.

I am not saying "Reserve captain does = 1st team player", just wanted to know how he wasn't getting a 1st team call up because I don't know. If the reason is, "because he isn't good nough", then I get that.

Depends on what you mean by playing first division. Most good third division players would be able to replace your run of the mill Bundesliga fringe player without problems. Becoming a regular is another thing.

The problem in this case, though, is more that Haas isn't that good of a third division player. Reliable and good enough, but hardly outstanding. And Bayern's reserves are dead last in the league, so being a starter there isn't exactly the most impressive thing I can think of by a long shot.

Isn't he like 25 or something like that too? I know defenders are late peakers but if you're 23, nevermind 25, and you still haven't made your first team debut, then you are probably never going to.

Well, you can argue for how long he will stay German in FIFA terms, but anyway: Cenk Tosun scored 2 goals in his first appearance for Gaziantepspor against Galatasaray.

Robert Huth scored two goals today for Stoke City in the 83rd and 93rd minute to equalize and then win the match 3-2 over Sunderland.

    Love the Huuuuuuuth.

He's having a very good season this year. Even captains the side now at times. Good for him. He found his place.

Robert Huth will play Man Shitty in the FA Cup Final after Stoke City thrashed Bolton - Huth scored as well.

This is Stoke's first ever final.

Congrats, Robert for reaching the final and for your contributions.

Honestly, if it weren't because we have Hummels and Hoewedes begging to become regulars for the NT with their stellar performances, I would even prefer Huth over Merte.

He has become a solid defender.

Hope he makes it and doesn't get injured or suspended till then:

When Boateng will watch Huth start from the bench he might think ask himself if joining City was such a great move after all.
But I guess he would not have gotten 4.000.000 at Stoke or other smaller
    clubs.

It seems you missed the World Cup. Seriously, don't you feel like a fool spreading all that biased nonsense at any opportunity`? It's annoying on a regular basis, especially in the German Abroad thread and the German National Forum. It's just childish.

Only he'll know how much he meant it but Huth's is harder to do because it needs more foot control to send it like that. To get the right spin and to make it also bounce as well as land not too near the post in front of the keeper (or else it spins wide). For oezil it's about swinging and connecting with the right trajectory only. Same with oezil's goal against ghana. I knew 2 seconds before he even hit it that it was going in from how it was sitting up and the distance to the goal.

    Too bad.
At a club like Real one injury can mean you lose your spot and the future with the team.

At least transfer season is over so they can't replace him right now.
