Boller with a pro contract until 2020. Seems random for only 1 year though. Has been training with the 1st team too.

Boller is the U-19 player who stands closest to the professional squad in terms of performance. The responsible see for him a perspective as a professional, which is why the 1.85-meter man has now been equipped with a license player contract. Boller's firm affiliation with the professional squad was also documented on the club's homepage at the start of the week: the defender was shown on the "Team Photo of the Werkself for the second half of 2018/2019".

to be expected with Moukoko there, they won't both make it and Moukoko is more rated.

besides HSV U17 as pretty much no relevant striker, seems like he took the easy route but at the same time, Hamburg and promotions.......

The 1-year contract doesn't look good IMO. Can't tell what the club's intentions are. But in the past Leverkusen usually signs young players for multiple years. Some they integrate right away while others they loaned out like Öztunali and Kramer.

concerning Boller could a case to see if he performs or not. If he doesn't than he can leave after 1 season

-Douglas Santos is out for this weekend, could be a start for Vagnoman.

-while Hoff have massive defensive injuries, so 3 II players have been called up to 1st team in

looks like Pakia had interest from numerous clubs and Dortmund wanted to keep him but he choose HSV.

that's the type of thing that makes one think they likely promised him 1st team chances aka quicker path to 1st team. And with a coach like Hannes Wolf, it makes sense. With Arp likely gone in Summer, that makes less competition at the club.

also to note, that Pakia turned 17 yesterday which means he's eligible to play pro. Of course he's still at Dortmund U17 and he has to play HSV U19 next season but next season that could happen.

Woltemade has scored 3 goals in 4 games that he started for Germany U17, scoring against England, Portugal and the Netherlands. Do wonder how much of that is due to his almost 2m height for a 16 year old? Must be tough to defend against that.

will be interesting to see if he can make the Bremen 1st team in the future.

They brought in two other strikers Nankishi, Hummel and Max Beier

But I think we will see Woltemade, Adeyemi for sure. 3rd striker will be among Borkowksi (always injured when he gets called up by DFB), Ware Pakia, Thielmann and co.

BIERHOFF: "BACK TO THE WORLD PEAK"
"Back to the top of the world" - the ambition in the DFB and its Directorate "National Teams and Academy" is clear and unambiguous. A year ago, the new management under Oliver Bierhoff started work. After an intensive year, he presented today his heads and concepts at the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt am Main. On the one hand the guard rails and big visions were mentioned, on the other hand the work was explained in detail and concretely presented, with which changes and optimizations of the DFB and its national teams come back to where they were almost natural for years: to the world's top. Topics such as talent search and talent development were discussed, the promotion of junior national players and the management of the national teams. And all this in conjunction with the services and impulses from the DFB Academy.

In his introduction Bierhoff spoke on the situation of German football. He also did not miss the disappointments of the past year with the preliminary round-out at the World Cup in Russia. "I am firmly convinced that as far as it felt in the summer of last year, the German football is not removed from the world's top," said Bierhoff. And yet the out was no bad luck, no coincidence. The distance is not great, but it is there - and now it's time to overcome it. In his analysis, Bierhoff recalled the successes of the past and sketched the continuous development that culminated in 2014 in the World Cup triumph. And he talked about the origin of the successes: The change of direction in the year 2000 with the introduction of the comprehensive talent support system and the establishment of performance centers and bases.

Bierhoff: "We need more football pitch mentality again"
Nearly two decades later, it's time for a new direction change. Bierhoff said: "It needs more feeling again." Despite all the systematics we have to make room for the development of individualists. "We need more football pitch mentality again."

After Steffen Deutschbein, the head of the staff department of the National Teams and Academy, had explained the structure and responsibilities of the management and their involvement in the entire DFB, took over Joti Chatzialexiou, the sports director national teams. In this role, Chatzialexiou, together with Meikel Schönweitz, the head coach U-national teams, has more responsibility than the DFB sports directors Horst Hrubesch, Hansi Flick, Robin Dutt and Matthias Sammer.

The Sports Director is responsible for the entire women's and men's football, the promotion of young talent and the scouting and game analysis and the expert teams around all national teams. In this function, he observes the developments in world football and draws the consequences for football in Germany together with those responsible for the league. "Together with the clubs and associations we want to establish a successful German way," he says. "We need to get back to the full potential of our talent pool, and we need players to develop our junior teams in the best possible way."

"Creating more freedom for creativity and enthusiasm"
A cultural change was necessary for this, whereby Chatzialexiou, in contrast to the situation in the year 2000, avoided the word revolution and spoke of an "evolution". The focus is on children's football, the funding structures, the competitions within the frame-line calendar and coach education. The sports director also called weaknesses. "Our analysis has shown that at least one-third of our talents are not optimally funded," he said. That should be changed.

Among other things, he wants to start on an age-appropriate promotion. "We have to bring back more fun and joy," he said. For example, about adapted forms of play in the youth field. "We're already letting our youngest play seven to seven in games, which is not age-appropriate because they have too little ball action and too few decisions to make." He is currently working in a working group with the colleagues of the League on new concepts. "There's two to two at Bambini and nine to nine from D-juniors." Also free training should bring the street football in the clubs, "said Chatzialexiou and picked up on a term that Oliver Bierhoff had already used:" We need more football pitch mentality again. We need to create more space for creativity and enjoyment for our players. "

    What makes a good coach?
After Chatzialexiou had talked much about players and the optimizations in their promotion, took over Meikel Schönweitz, head coach U-national teams of the DFB. Schönweitz talked about the coaches, about "his team", the total of 21 coaches in the seven male junior teams of the DFB. At the beginning, he asks what makes a good coach? His expertise, his mediation skills, his social skills? What kind of coaches should junior national teams train: The ex-professional? The laptop coach? The age specialist? The answer: all.

"We have the division in our U-teams that we have a head coach and two assistants," said Schönweitz. "We have three coaches in each team and three different types of coaches in each team: the experienced, the innovative and the specialist." Exemplary Schönweitz called the U 21 national team with the head coach Stefan Kuntz and the assistants Toni Di Salvo and Daniel Niedzkowski.

    Trainers should develop "competences"
His team, the coaches, have a lot of expertise and expertise, Schönweitz said. "My job is to help coaches develop their skills." Schönweitz and his team have already lifted their heads in the past and looked out of the box. Suggestions from other sports flow in, even from big companies. As an example he mentioned the visit to Google and clubs of NBA and NFL. "Again and again we see details that we can take on for our work," he said. The goal is to reach the players through the coaches and thus fully develop their talent. Schönweitz: "I also see myself as a reference person and contact person for the players.Already we have in mind, who is eligible for the upcoming tournaments, who has what it takes to help us at the European Championship in 2024."

Thomas Beheshti, the team manager national team, gave an example of what is going on in the field of management national teams in addition to the sporting aspects of the teams. "We coordinate all organizational areas outside the square," he said. "We take care of our players from the time our coaches nominate players until the players are back at their clubs." With the goal of providing players with an ideal environment that allows them to focus on the field in full concentration to achieve their best performance. "We create atmosphere, we make it always special for the players to come to the national team and wherever we go we create a home for the players," he said.

How extensive this activity is, he demonstrated using the example of the year 2019 and an optimal sporting process. "If all teams of the DFB qualify for the finals and reach the finals, we have 22 tournaments to organize with a total of 137 games." Beheshti clarified that team management is much more than organizing the transfer of person A to destination B. "We are not a travel agency," he said. The management of the national teams is all about providing the framework for the respective experts to be able to do their work on and with the team and thus to provide the entire team with an environment in which they work together on equal terms and with common values can.

Main: "To train the elite on an international top level"
The conclusion was probably the biggest topic of the future - the DFB Academy. Tobias Haupt, the head of the DFB Academy, spoke about the four main focuses of the year 2019 from the point of view of the academy: the reform of football teacher training, a special program for aspiring ex-professionals, training for key positions in German football and the DFB Academy as a campus for innovation. "Our aim is to train and educate the elite of German football on an international top level."

The DFB Academy wants to set standards, the academy should be established as an international seal of quality. How to do this? Main: "With the most competent team, the best infrastructure and the most modern technologies." Talent should become quality - and quality should enable titles.

    Reform of football teacher education
A lever here are the football teachers. "Our analysis has shown that we currently do not train our football teachers according to the skills that are in demand today." This realization has led to the first reform for eleven years being developed together with Daniel Niedzkowski, the new head of football teacher training. The key words are individualization, flexibilisation and digitization. "In the future, training will be a mix of virtual units and on-site lessons," said Haupt.

The number of attendance times during the Bundesliga season will be reduced by 50 percent and in education by 25 percent. Haupt says: "As of May 2019, the German football teacher can be done for the first time without any problems paralleling the coaching routine." As a further key positions in addition to the coaches, he called the head of the junior performance centers, the sports directors, the managing director and also the special trainers, ranging from goalkeeper trainer on the fitness trainer to the sports psychologists.

"These key positions require specific and action-oriented training and we will provide them with this training," said Haupt. "It's crucial for us to lead German football into the future and to be successful again in the future." We want to return to the top of the world. "

on the U17 bombing Algarve Cup.
DFB.de: What lessons do you draw from the three matches against absolute top teams?

Feichtenbeiner: First and foremost, that at the highest level we have to become more dangerous for the future and that we must not lose compactness at any stage. In addition, I assume that five guys have given their international debut. We tested a few options before the European Championship qualifier. When it comes to the EM ticket in March, we have to compete with the best players and our best performance.

DFB.de: They had to renounce due to school obligations and injuries to twelve players. How does this ultimately make a noticeable difference at such a level?

Feichtenbeiner: Basically, it is quite normal that two or three players fail. Rarely has a coach all the boys on board and can draw on the full. However, if so many top performers can not attend, then it will not be easier against the top teams. In order to win against the best, we have to be close to 100 percent in all areas. We were not this time.

DFB.de: Now the focus is completely on the European Championship qualification that your team plays from March 20th to 26th. How will you shape the time until then?

Feichtenbeiner: I have decided to see every national team candidate live at least once in league matches over the next four matchdays. With my coaching team, we will sift through a lot, take the current form into account, and stay in close touch with the guys. In addition, we already deal with the opponent analysis. At our destination, we are certain that we want to qualify as a group first for the U17
European Championship in Ireland. I am convinced that we will do it together

both U16 and U17 mini-tournaments were missing a dozen players for each squad. Besides both times too much rotations and too many substitutions also impact games.

    some recent updates.

    CL
Dahoud played full game for Dortmund in their 3-0 loss. I still feel like already 23 and he hasn't really made much progress. Should never have left Gladbach. From our current U21 midfielder he feels like the furthest away from the senior NT, even if he plays in the bigger club.

    Swiss League
-Ndenge made his 1st squad all season as he recently returned from his season long injury. Did not play
-Gaudino played 12 min as a sub recently in his new Swiss club. That's one player who's career progress has been not much.

    Championship
Passlack finally made his Championship debut as he played 9 min (including injury time) in a 3-1 loss.Should head to 2BL next season.

uh why U17 qualifiers are easy and we don't play Portugal, Spain and Netherlands in the same group either.

U19 is the one where the qualifiers are tough.

The defence is such a mess for 2002

And we had our best defenders for Algarve Cup, Feichtenbeiner should know

Schreiber, Aydin, Dardai, Lang/Czech boy, Netz/Cahanoglu .... were all there and this is already our best defensive lineup

We also have Jordan Meyer as DM in Algarve Cup.

The defence is such a big mess. It’s not about the personnel but the organisation/chemistry

Yes, Scott, Tillman, Samardzic, Egloff, Nebel, Adeyemi, Pakia (who doesn’t perform for DFB), Borkowski might help , only in the offensive end

But the defence was Terrible and we are already having the best defenders for this tournament

our group for U17 Euro qualifiers

    Germany
    Belarus
    Iceland
    Slovenia

Top of the group qualifies for the Euro and best 7/8 Runners up also make it. It's that simple to make it.

eh the players you listed as missing is not just offensive it's also the midfield too.

Scott, Samardzic And Egloff are very advanced playmakers , probably 10

    Tillman maybe an 8

But other than Tillman, the others are 10 who doesn’t really contribute much defensively

Running back sometimes doesn’t mean the contribution is there

    Apparently, Adeyemi/Nebel/Pakia/Borkowski are attackers

I m very concern, even for qualifiers. We have very very bad defenders for 2002. Aydin is converted from Winger to Fullback, CBs are weak (Dardai is ok), we have no LB so we need to promote 03 Netz n convert CM Cahanoglu to play there

Jordan Meyer needs to play with more tenacity n tackling

Holland n Portugal are very physical now, even U17. And our players can’t deal with this anymore.

We completely overlook physicality at all levels : topic has been there for years and still not improving

Feichtenbeiner should also realise that this is probably our defensive lineup in U17 EM

DM , the “6”, also lack options. Tillman, Scott, Egloff And Samardzic are more offensive than defensive

And we only have Jordan Meyer for now at 6

Big concern. I do think Adeyemi will be our starting striker for now

The problem with Germany in 2002 is they have decent individuals like Lemperle, Samardzic, Scott and Tillman And co

But Germany focus too much on “8” “10” and wingers.

Other positions we aren’t producing enough top talents. Fullbacks is ALWAYS a topic, and I think 2002 strikers we need someone dominant. Woltemade is dominating but we see him as Plan B. We need a better plan A striker, Adeyemi is ok but a bit too small for the position, should be used as wing forward or supporting striker

Things haven’t changed. We can’t win with just 8 and 10

Even “6” we have failed to produce nowadays

lol so you expect Germany to end up 3rd or 4th in this group? Best 7 out 8 runners up qualify, even the 97-98-01 qualified for the U17 Euros.

and back during the 97 time, it was an Euro U17 with only 8 teams qualifying not like now 16 teams and they still made it.

With such defence and lack of “6”

I think we might qualify for EM, but maybe we won’t get pass group stage once again

    Something need to change.

We are only producing good 8 and 10 or a few wingers like Tim Lemperle n Nebel. But we need to do better than that

Ware Pakia’s height is ok, but so skinny and very inefficient for DFB; Adeyemi and Woltemade will be there, but if we are picking three strikers for the 22-men roster, the 3rd striker shouldn’t be Pakia or Thielmann (I don’t see him as a 9)
