nice so we qualified this year for the
    -Confederations Cup
    -U21 Euro
    -U17 Euro
    -U20 WC

we are 1 game away from qualification for the U19 Euro and the qualification of the U17 WC is dependent on the U17 Euro and being top 5 at the tourney.

With Geiger, Barkok & Ozcan the u19s should be able to match or surpass any other country's midfield, especially with someone as elegant as Gul behind them. Depending on when folks get healthy up front they could be deadly with a little a chemistry & structure.

    1st team
    Gnabry - Brandt - Werner - Sane
    Dahoud - Amiri*
    Weigl
    Tah - Stark - Sule

    2nd team
    Ochs
    Havertz* - Meyer
    Mittelstadt - Barkok - Henrichs* - Passlack
    Kehrer - Gul - Klostermann

    or

    Ochs - Havertz* - Meyer - Passlack
    Barkok - Henrichs*
    Mittelstadt - Kehrer - Gul - Klostermann

And seeing someone like Sanches ahead of Dahoud & Weigl, who are regular starters as well as extraordinary talents, is...odd, as well.

Oof, that'll require some serious squad-juggling. On the other hand, any tournament experience at those levels are really good for the development of the players.

As an aside, when I watched the Germany vs England U21 what really stood out for me, is how much more Bundesliga/first team experience our players have, even if its just at clubs such as Freiburg, that is a huge competitive advantage.

    This is a reason @icebreaker

"Take a look at these numbers. They are telling to say the least. They represent the number of games each recently called-up Under-21 side has played in their own top flight."

Max Meyer 117 games in Bundesliga
Whole u21 England squad 206 games in EPL hahaha

Entire match replay of Germany U20's 1-0 win vs Switzerland U20 is available on Youtube.

Reese's goal around 1:03:45. Assist by Möbius, with Ochs and Serdar involved during the build up play.

To be fair, England's senior team has England U21 eligible players who have 744 Premier League appearances. England have fast tracked their young players because the senior team is pretty shit at the moment.

Surely that is the case for all of the NT mentioned here. Sané, Brandt, Weigl, Werner, even Kimmich or Can could theoretically still play for the U21.

Bild has published shocking report about the Azerbaijani national football team player Renat Dadashov. Apasport reports citing the newspaper that the player has chosen Azerbaijani national team in exchange for $1 million.

“Regretfully, Dadashov did not choose German national team. He will play in 2018 FIFA Worlds Cup against Germany, while he had scored 13 goals in 15 matches when he played in German U17 national team. He will earn $1 million and get a house for choosing Azerbaijani national team. He, who earned €2,500 per month in Leipzig, chose Azerbaijani national team for money”.

actually I was wondering why Renat Dadashov was not on the squad during the game, now that seems to be an answer.....

if that's true, than pretty greedy/dirty stuff and good thing he isn't playing for us anymore.

Mercenary mentality. Which isn't surprising considering the motives of his initial transfer to the RB Leipzig academy and later off-field antics. Seems like his focus is to make money as early on in his career as possible. Almost to a point where he's uncertain of whether or not he'll succeed in the long run. It's a shame because if he worked hard on his game, $1 million (and a house) will be chump change in the future anyways. Oh well, hope he enjoys playing with scrubs on a fringe UEFA qualification team.

Only 17 years old... I think he should really keep options opened for now.

If he chooses Azerbaijan, that not only affects his international career but also his club career as well

Imagine if Selke opts for Ethiopia, no one would care about his problems in Leipzig, fans or media. That's applies to Dadashov as well

I still rate Dadashov ahead of Kruger, David Otto, Nieland n Wintzheimer in terms of raw talent. I just hope he can pull himself together n have some patience. Azerbaijan won't make it to any major tournaments

I would add that Dadashov is only 17, we don't know what pressure is being put on him behind the scenes by his manager, advisers, friends, family, the Azerbaijani federation, etc.

Germany's U16 coach Michael Prus singles out Fabrice Hartmann, Amid Khan Agha and Oliver Batista-Meier for praise after Germany's double-header vs Italy U16s.
