Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] Lol By the way, what is the [R] about?. It's in many threads... I've been wondering for a while.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] It's sort of a "warning" that results may be posted in the thread. This way, if you want to watch a game that has already been played, you should not venture into that thread if you do not want to know the score.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] I'm not here to entertain you maaaaaaaaaaaaan. Besides, I'm a busy man. I got things to do, deals to make, women to scrutinize, you know the deal.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] Hoffenheim youngsters yesterday: Rudy to Mlapa > goal @2:54m [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtGOSYK0Jd0"]YouTube - 1899 Hoffenheim Hannover 96 4 0 Alle Tore 10 Spieltag 31 10 2010 www keepvid com[/ame] agressiv pressing from Rudy and then zack, zack pass, gol.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] No, I do not "know the deal"...you see, I have all that done before 10 am. You like that, don't ya??
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] Damn, you scuba instructors/sales people sure know how to get down, lol. Anyways, Rudy's development is quite interesting. He has a more "central" role at Hoffenheim and has adapted to the team's style quite well from what I've seen. Not sure what to make of him yet in terms of what kind of a player he is but I think it'll be worth keeping an eye on.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] Rudy is a true CM and a Pirlo kind of player, not tackling a lot but intelligent and with very good passing/vision. I'm glad that he made the move to Hoffenheim because he was used totally wrong at Stuttgart (most of the times as winger) and I see NT potential in him though he will need some time to mature so he is more a player for the time after the EC.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] Since Luiz Gustavo is forced to move from position to position to help out, Rudy has replaced his midfield role. He did nothing for the Hoffensive against Dortmund but the skinny bitch impressed me with his tackles. Against Hannover he was able to show that he can steal a ball and only needs one pass to the strikers. Rudy is not German national team material soon. After Khedira and Schweinsteiger there is Kroos, whyever. And all of them are young too.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] There are rumours in turkish media that Aachens (on loan from HSV) Tolgay Arslan wants to switch from turkish U-21 to DFB Doesn't make too much sense for me.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] Didn't he need to get rid of his German passport in order to play for Turkey? Özil had to give up his Turkish when he decided to play for Germany.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] I am not an expert, but in many countries dual citizenship is not a problem. Also Özil voluntarily decided to get rid of his Turkish passport. He already did this 3 years ago.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] Don't think Arslan is that great tho. Saw him play a few times for Hamburg last season. Certainly not an immense talent like Ozil He is an AM, and Germany have too many better options at the position. I would've stuck with turkish NT if I were him.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] I was just looking for a reason since his decision doesn't seem to make sense from a sporting point of view. Well, at least it shows that Sarrazin and Merkel's "multiculti" remarkds don't seem to have any negative effect...
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] This rule is expiring, Özil's year group is one of the last to be affected.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] It is a legal one, German citizenship law was thoroughly modernised ten years ago, but some changes become effective only gradually.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] No, a child born to non German parents in Germany will still have to decide which citizenship to keep after turning 18 generally. The reformed law still doesn't allow for dual citizenship (although there are countries which are except, e.g. it is allowed to be a dual citizen of Germany and Switzerland or any EU country. Turkey however is not a country for which dual citizenship is allowed).
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread Vol. II [R] I see, thanks . So children of Turks have citizenship just because of their parents?. In Chile even if both your parents are Chilean, but you were born abroad, you've got to live in Chile for 3 years (I believe) to become a citizen...
