German opportunity for Nick DePuy?

Looks like he's on trial with German second-division club Karlsruher SC:

He's a big striker who I believe is supposed to be entering his senior season at UCSB this fall.

In college, he appears to have been a necessity convert to striker that has worked out.

Playing San Diego State on September 26 of last year, DePuy, a sophomore who had seen limited playing time being moved around the midfield and center back positions, got his first ever start at forward. Prior to that game, the 6-4 Irvine native had just one career goal, scored three weeks prior in a 1-1 tie against Northwestern.

Little did anyone know, this season was about to get turned around in a big way.

Was considered a GA candidate by some:

    And a SuperDraft prospect:

German reports have DePuy leaving KSC without a contract (though I don't know the degree to which he was really seeking a pro deal before his senior season).

He signed an MLS contract pre-draft. This obviously does not 100% guarantee that he'll be in the league next season, but it's a strong indication.

Montreal sent him on loan to Danish 1st Division Fremad Amager (looks like a 3 month loan)

Nick started and Scored the opening Goal in a friendly that had Fremad Amager winning 3 - 0 over BK Frem

' 4 It's just before the forward passing game on the flat art track heats more than the grill with stadium sausages. A pure pleasure to see short, far, stamp, hop over... and DePuy comes to completion. 1-0

' 40 Pudsig situation. DePuy loses the boot but runs up towards the chance... fans love our new big workhorse in the attack.
