Ever since Nike took over from Adidas for France's kits, they have been class.

Never happen...I'd rather they go to Puma (a German company) than Nike

Well, my point was that though the deal between France's FA and Nike may have been brokered a while back, this was the 1st kit for France designed by Nike since they took over. Adidas still designed their 2010 kits.

These are brand new so I was just telling Kyle that this just happened in response to his, "Ever since Nike made the kits for France comment..."

As far as never gonna happen...the DFB were seriousy considering this several years ago when Nike put together a massive deal ($75 million) in 2006.

It looks like they went after France next...and got them!

Despite that, the DFB, declined and stuck with a GERMAN company. I hope they stand by that philosophy.

I just hope that the NT continues to stick with Adidas equipment - the very idea that they'd betray the spirit of Adi Dassler and go with an American company would be an anathema to many.

That said, the DLV (the Athletics federation) decided to go with Nike a few years ago now, which did surprise me.

    Agreed and repped

It'd be a commercial sellout of epic proportions. I think/hope the fans would have something to say about it

Lol...damn! I totally forgot about this ^^^ 1st away kit.

That was probably why I didn't associated it to your comment on. "All their Nike kits have been class"....that shit is horrible - and Poorvi will confirm! :p

This jersey is unique. How many other jerseys have a series of horizontal stripes? Full marks to the creative team.:)

However, it just doesn't look like a football jersey. If we played that pick the right option game, asking the question; which sports team plays in this jersey
    1) French Davis Cup team
    2) French football team
    3) French Rugby team
    4) French cycling team

Then I'd pick anything but option 2. :p

That new France away kit is supposed to be a tribute to the French navy hence the stripes on the sleeves. Don't know why really.

Every time I saw this shirt I thought the wearer should be seen on a creaky old vélo with a chain of onions around his neck.

Those Nike kits are horrible. The look like shirts you'd wear on the golf course for a Sunday afternoon.
