You didn't. I just anticipated that this would be the next argument against testing another LB.

I don't buy this argument. Hector needs to play 90 minutes in every friendly, three months before the Euros? Then why is Löw rotating at every other position? Including RB, where he hasn't even found the starting player yet. Boateng wasn't there anyway, btw.

With Löw the actual preparation has always been in the training camp just before the tournament. Until then his defenses have always been unstable and mostly terrible. Even in the qualifying games.

The point remains: who plays LB if Hector gets injured?

RB he hasn't even found someone reliable yet. If he did, he wouldn't rotate. Every other position is more or less set in stone and they guys have their comfort level.

In tournaments Low is very conservative and He would play at least 1 CB as a full back. I cant remember any tournament Low has actually played 2 natural full backs who would overlap

I expect Boateng Hummels plus Mustafi/Rudiger and one real full back maybe Hector/Durm/Schmelzer/Rudy/ Weiser

depending on the side he plays the 3rd CB

    Yup.

Loew's fullbacks in major tournament key matches (finals, semifinals etc.):

    2006 Lahm and Friedrich
    2008 Lahm and Friedrich
    2010 Lahm and Boateng
    2012 Lahm and Badstuber
    2014 Lahm and Hoewedes
    2016?

2012 I think it was Boateng RB, Hummels Badstuber CB's Lahm LB

    But you get the gist

Yeah. Your'e right. It's going to be weird watching Germany in a major tournament and not seeing Lahm on the team sheet.

I know I'm obviously biased, but given the lack of available options I don't understand why neither Plattenhardt nor Weiser has even gotten a friendly chance this year. Especially Plattenhardt - Weiser's still young so there's reason to give him more time, but Plattenhardt is exactly the kind of offensively integrated LB that would be perfect for the NT.

    3-5-2 maybe an option

I think when Gundogan is back from injury, They'll move Gundogan to the starting lineup. We played Oezil at CM/DM last match , alongside Kroos. It was OK against a weak Italian side but against better opponent maybe Gundogan n Kroos will be better.

The good thing about 3-5-2 is we have an extra centre back n he can give more stability in defense. One of the 3 CBs can even go further up n help out at the defensive midfield position, while we still have other 2 CBs at the back

And you can also see Rudiger n Hummels go help out the two wing backs quite often, so we were like playing a wing back plus a fullback while we still have two other CBs in the middle. This pretty much covers up our fullback issue. Things will only be better when Boateng is back.

3-men backline is actually a solution of many of our problems

    -------Boateng---Mustafi-Hummels
    -Bellarabi-------------------------Hector
    --------------Gundogan--Kroos

Gündogan not a sub? Schürrle and Götze over Özil? No Boateng?

    Ahahah!
I try to make a young team as players are ageing, it's since 2010 that there are the same players;I'd like to rejuvenate the team.
Schürrle as CF as there is nobody else I really like in that position and I don't consider Götze a CF and Gomez is too static.
Götze over Özil as he is younger than him and talented, Özil as a sub.
    Gündogan too often injured.
Boateng has never been an important player imo; at the beginning of his career he was quite bad I reember.

This gets less palatable as it goes on:
    1. I don't see a reason to change the guard beyond kicking Podolski and Schweinsteiger to the curb. All of our other players are still solidly in their primes and could easily go to 2018 if we wanted.
    2. Schürrle has most of the same issues as Götze as a CF, why is one considered a CF and the other isn't? Götze's a more talented player than Schürrle anyways.
    3. Özil gets kicked by Götze? Let's see, one is on track to easily break the EPL assist record for a season, the other is mostly bench warming. But you're right, Götze is talented, which is why you put him as CF instead of Schürrle and Özil at 10.
    4. Gündoğan is probably the most talented CM in the German player pool. Leaving him out when he's healthy is a terrible decision.
    5. *spits out drink* Boateng has been a very important and world class CB for Germany and Bayern unless you've been living under a rock for the past 4-5 years. He was inconsistent in the beginning, sure, but now leaving him out is a massive mistake that causes me to wonder if you even watch Germany and Bayern on any sort of consistent basis. I hate to put it like that, but that's the only way I can put it.

Younger doesn't make you better. You are playing a tournament in 2016, this is not a roster you pick in 2016 to play in 2020. I don't care about age I care about quality in this instance.

Second-best; Schweinsteiger IMO was the best. But still, point made.

    Well it is April fools...

I would have the same team, but with Poldi as undroppable captain up front.

Ps leaving out Boateng, Gündogan and Özil, 3 of the best players in their position in the world? Hmmm.

Schweini actually had a very mediocre game. He was very physical until the end but didn't do much football wise. Boateng, Neuer and Götze were the decisive players imo

The nurvin guy just posted his all Aryan Germanic blooded squad. Just your usual troll.
