it's too bad he's bombing in CL and whether Liverpool makes R16 or not will be very close. I mean Marko freaking Marin had 2 assists as Red Star beat Liverpool 2-0.
Zorniger's Brondby won 2-1 vs Vejle BK to take sole possession of 3rd place in the Danish Superliga after 19 match days
Tuchel's PSG top their group after winning 4-1 vs Red Star. While Klopp wins 2nd place, barely 1-0 win. Although that was such a blunder from the Napoli defense on that Salah goal. Who cares at least it's not a GS exit. Tedesco's Schalke who already advanced to R16 won 1-0.
Rösler's Malmo won vs Besiktas and advance into EL knockout stages Marco Rose's RB Salzburg advance with a perfect record in the EL group stages Klopp's Liverpool won vs Man United on the weekend to remain 1st place in the EPL Looks like Weinzierl is starting to make progress at Stuttgart as they've now won 3 of their last 5 BL matches
📊@LFC Unbeaten in 18 PL games, best league run without defeat since 23 games from Mar-Nov 199014 points better off than at this stage last seasonEnd run of 8 PL games without a win v Man UtdKlopp has now recorded a win against all 26 teams he has faced in PL pic.twitter.com/RuXJG4HxDY— Sky Sports Statto (@SkySportsStatto) December 16, 2018
Coaches remaining in European competition: Kovac vs Klopp: Bayern vs Liverpool Tedesco: Schalke vs Man City Tuchel: PSG vs Man United Herrlich: Leverkusen vs Krasnodar Rose: Salzburg vs Club Brugge Rösler: Malmo vs Chelsea
Although Leipzig crashed out of the EL, Rangnick is keeping them competitive enough in the BL and look to be in fair position with Top 7. So good chance they'll be in Europe again when Nagelsmann takes over. Hecking, Labbadia, Dardai and Kohfeldt have been positive this season for their respective clubs. In 2BL, Wolf and Anfang look poised to bring HSV and Koeln back up with promotion. Roger Schmidt's Beijing Guoan finish the CSL season in 4th place. He has one year left on his contract there.
Interesting to hear Klopp open up on the only two teams he wanted to avoid in the CL last 16 draw. Dortmund because he wants to see them go further and Juventus because he feels they are ‘the absolute favourites’ to win the competition this year.— Jack Sear (@JackSear) December 18, 2018 Tonight will be Dieter #Hecking's 400th #Bundesliga game as a coach 👏He is the 13th man to reach this milestone and will do it against his former club, @1_fc_nuernberg! ⚽#DieFohlen #BMGFCN pic.twitter.com/2z5sqQrsW8— Gladbach (@borussia_en) December 18, 2018
Looks like Roger Schmidt will highly likely remain with Beijing Guoan for the final year of his contract. They've already planned a friendly vs his old clb RB Salzburg in February for the training camp https://www.weltfussball.at/news/_n3469469_/salzburg-testet-gegen-team-von-roger-schmidt/
Five major criticisms against Tedesco this season include: mediation skills, unusual positioning for some players, lack of balance between defence and attack, inconsistent tactics, and motivation skills. http://www.fussballtransfers.com/ft-kurve/krise-auf-schalke-funf-grunde-gegen-tedesco_98780
Völler says they'll have a discussion after the final Hinrunde match day to analyze the overall situation at Leverkusen and likely decide what will happen with Herrlich. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...view---und-was-es-fuer-herrlich-bedeutet.html
Norwich top of the Championship -- and even Jurgen Klopp is a fan https://www.skysports.com/football/...-table-stuart-webber-explains-how-it-happened Interesting article about Farke's work at Norwich and was not far from sacking after his 1st season. And why they are doing so well and his investment in Norwich Academy too. I do wonder if Norwich get EPL promotion which followed Huddersfield's promotion. What Championship club will go next for a German coach? There is a possibility of 3 German coaches in EPL next season and all ex Dortmund coaches.
32 - Jurgen Klopp has now defeated all 32 of the British clubs he’s faced as Liverpool boss in all competitions – before tonight, Wolves were the only side he’d failed to beat, losing in the FA Cup in January 2017 in their only previous meeting. Leverkusen vs Hertha on Saturday looks to be Herrlich's farewell match regardless of result http://www.fussballtransfers.com/bu...ar-mit-bosz-abschiedsspiel-fur-herrlich_98836
Klopp's Liverpool maintain their 4 point lead at top of the EPL table after Man City's loss to Crystal Palace.
feel bad for Herrlich though, sure he had a slow start to the season but he's been picking it up and Bayer are very very close to European spots now. Norwich with another late winner as they win 1-0 and extend their lead at the top of the Championship.
Labbadia continues to keep Wolfsburg in strong form. A win vs Augsburg today means they would finish 5th in the BL table going into the winter break.
Tim Walter's Holstein Kiel hands Hannes Wolf his first loss at HSV http://www.sportbuzzer.de/artikel/hannes-wolf-hsv-niederlage-kiel-reaktionen-becker-titz/
Walter is one guy who could get a 1BL shot in long run. meanwhile looks like Tobias Schweinsteiger has a new gig. FC Juniors Upper Austria in the second Austrian league https://fcbayern.com/de/news/2018/12/tobias-schweinsteiger-verlaesst-den-fc-bayern not sure why go to Austrian 2nd division?
Although #Hannover96 continues the cooperation with #Breitenreiter, Peter #Stöger and Markus #Gisdol were contacted according to kicker information. Unlike Gisdol, Stöger is not willing to take over.— German Football Daily (@GERFootDaily) December 24, 2018
with Man City losing yet again, Klopp's Liverpool is now 6 pts ahead of 2nd place Spurs. Klopp could be 1st Liverpool coach to win the EPL!!!
it's crazy how many games (a ton) where Norwich either wins at the last second or tie it. today's Farke's Norwich were down 3-0 with Hernandez off the bench scoring 2 goals in injury time to make it 3-3 FT. wins means after 24/46 games played, over half the season. Norwich is currently in 2nd place, only 3 pts off 1st.
imagine Norwich wins 1st place in Championship while Klopp wins EPL. Double German win!!! although Huddersfield seem headed for relegation. Always felt Huddersfield made poor transfer choices.
6 - This will be the first time since 2nd November 2002 that Liverpool will end the day 6+ points clear at the top of the Premier League table. Leaders. pic.twitter.com/IpehKPYISf— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) December 26, 2018
