He should stick to Stoke until the contracts runs out. He's not going to land a better salary anywhere. And I have a feeling MLS may not be prompt offering him a DP spot. Or even decent money.
Came in and played 20+ with a 2-0 lead as holding CM. Immediately does well to muscle guy off the ball. Then just did his thing. Actively broke up several pays nicely, added some bite though 2 needless fouls. Won most of the headers, and just the one silly turnover on a sloppy forward pass.
Don't care what any one says, Cameron is/has been a good player. Don't care what anyone says, he's a good player at the EPL level. Got there on his own merit at a time when a lot of American coaches where doing more harm than good Hate that he's the trump type, but a damn good player physically, technically, and psychologically.
You can check my post history and I am a big Geoff fan and have seen nearly every game he has played in the last five or so years. If you change your post to past tense I agree with you one hundred percent. He has been injured a lot in the last two seasons and his play has gone from one bonehead play per game to multiple WTF moments every outing. After his last severe concussion that kept him out for an extended period, I am of the opinion that long term damage from CTE ought to make him seriously consider retirement. Loss of brain function from repeated concussion is a very real thing and it is not to be taken lightly. I don't care about his politics any more than I care about Robbie Rogers orientation. That has nothing to do with football IMHO.
I think he's got a little Evangelical in him. Who are they supposed to support? Bernie Sanders? Hillary? I'm not sure how an Evangelical could even support Trump, but given the alternative, there really isn't any question who he would support.
Interview with Geoff published in the NY Times: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/31/...&gwh=87AFA821AA90DF734785D1D17A273727&gwt=pay
Brilliant!!! Someone with some stack and some brains and back bone steps up and says what he is not only thinking, but can likely prove!!! Player of the Year, Geoff Cameron. Man. Finally. DOYLE? WAHL? STRAUS? Are you reading? A 19year old in Germany and a journeyman RB, CM, DM, CB are doing your job better than you are and they are also professional soccer players in the best leagues in the world.
unused sub, in 0-0 draw vs Watford. Charlie Adam getting all the starts in CM since new manager came in.

Stoke has been dominating the Cherries away, and are winning 0-1 (Shaqiri goal) ,which is great for them: they need those three points desperately to get some distance from the relegation line. This is the best I've seen Stoke play in a while, BTW. Cameron has lost the ball a couple of times, but his tackling/recovery has been good. Crouch-Shaqiri make for a funny striking force: they look like Tom & Jerry.
Yes, Lambert has paired him with Ndiaye, who's a much more attacking midfielder, so Geoff is playing the DM role.
