The hacking/physical play and travel of an MLS season doesn't seem much of a reprieve from the C'ship division, so I'm not sure he's targeting MLS as a "retirement-bridge."

Cameron remains out with an ankle injury, missing his 9th league match in a row for QPR. They started his absence hot, with 3 wins and 2 draws, but are now slipping down the table to 15th after losing 4 straight matches.

Any thoughts on whether he might stay with them once the loan ends?

Cameron has been injured for over two months now, and QPR is in free fall at this point: sixth loss in a row in the Ch'ship.

At this rate, they're going to finish barely above the red line, and should be thankful there are so many other clubs that stink in the league.

Geoff went out with an ankle injury in the Leeds game in early December, and no one seems to know when he'll be back. He's considered old now, and old guys need a longer time to recover.

Whether Cameron was ready to play or not, he was ineligible for today's match against Stoke. Despite a Stoke red card in the 8th minute, QPR squandered its advantage and stumbled to a 0-0 draw.

Seems unfair to a player for that reason. Sure, it's your parent club, but unlikely you're going to go on a killing spree (for 90 minutes) against them.

Has there ever been a case of players who played (while on loan) against their parent club? would this rule only work on intra-league loans or also with say a Madrid loanee starting for PSG against Madrid?

No on-field return today. All 3 QPR subs used, 1-1 late.

I never would have thought he'd have spent 7 years in England. Am I wrong or was there some German interest in him a year or 2 ago?

I didn't notice this until now, but Berhalter commented on Geoff Cameron on Tuesday:

One other veteran who was not called into this roster was Geoff Cameron. His absence was not all surprising given that he only just returned to training with Queens Park Rangers after a lengthy layoff because of an ankle injury, but it appears that he might not have much of a future with the group given that he is 33-years old.

“He’s [Cameron's] another one that I think time is working against him right now with his age and 2022 as being a goal,” said Berhalter. “But he hasn’t unfortunately been able to compete on the field since December.”

Cameron was subbed out in the 56th minute with QPR down 2-0, but the club fought back to earn a 2-2 draw.

There's no debate - QPR and Cameron were walloped by top of the table Norwich today, by a 4-0 scoreline.

Cameron started and played 59 minutes, being withdrawn with QPR down 3-0.

Cameron goes 90, and QPR drew 0-0. Logic suggests that 1 more win would probably be enough to guarantee safety from relegation for QPR.

The facts show that QPR has jumped out to an early 3-0 lead today over CCV and Swansea today. Unfortunately, Geoff Cameron has not made the 18.

I haven't seen any new injury news for Cameron.

QPR won 4-0 without Cameron today. Victory today has probably cemented QPR's spot in the Championship, as they are now 8 points ahead of the relegation zone with 4 matches to go.
