Well, at least we know now that he can do it on a smoggy night in the Azteca...

Dont get me wrong, its not a bad thing to have a Center mid starting for an EPL team but I hope he can be Stoke's starting CB instead of Pulis playing him in the midfield for the sake of the nats.

I think we need a Dmid to let Bradley play CM as well. Either of those spots would be nice.

While I'd be less excited about a club CD playing CM for a national team (although it would not be the end of the world for the right player) CDM is not a bad place to get your touches in. Especially since it's not like he's never played in the back. Me, I'm just looking forward to him playing. Where is less important.

Maybe we can try Danny Williams at D-Mid

did anyone here the broadcast Wednesday say that Cameron had a 'little visa problem' but that he was 'in line to start against Arsenal a week from Saturday'?

Debut, not start. Darke said he's in line to debut next week. Could start, but haven't heard anything about that.

Players who transfer internationally (except players in the EU transferring to other EU countries) often have visa problems. It's usually not a big deal, only the bureaucratic wheels slowly turning.

For example, DC United has a young kid from Brazil transferring in. His transfer was approved by MLS and the CBF in about a week, but his visa is taking another two weeks to catch up. Until that is complete, he can't play, even though he has been approved by the appropriate parties.

Baptism by fire then. Conflicted on this. Fan of Arsenal, but want Cameron to do well. Decisions, decisions....

Arsenal win 3-1 with geoff scoring, and not being at fault for any of the goals.

Dean Whitehead red carded, ordinarily carries a 3 match ban in the BPL and an opening for Geoff in the midfield, if his visa is approved quickly.

I have a solution - stop supporting Arsenal. Your life will be better on many fronts!

It was a second yellow card, so just a one game suspension.

I'd rather Cameron play in the midfield than sit on the bench as a centerback.

It's going to be difficult to break into the Huth/Shawcross pairing. [It wouldn't shock me if Shawcross gets sold to a "bigger club" in the January window.]

I think that's a legit account. Looks like Stoke are doing business again, they love Spurs players. Stoke fans will like Thudd, match made in heaven because he can deliver from deep and he's familiar with Crouch.

The progress hasn't been ideal but you can never fault Stoke for not trying to improve. Not sure what this means for Cameron or Edu.

Huddlestone is a match made in heaven for Stoke. He'll smack balls onto Crouchy's head all day long and any balls coming back out to Huddlestone's feet 25 yards out are only going in one direction.

    D. Williams is descent but I don't consider him a first team option at the national team level....at any position. Did you watch the Mexico/US match?
