I don't watch Serie A or know many of the players, but Genoa is my favorite Serie A club. Genoa scored the only goal of the game today to beat Juventus in Gianluigi Buffon's 500th game with Juventus. Genoa is 9th through 9 games.
Wikipedia says that sixth place Genoa did not get a license to play in the Europa League and Genoa's appeal will be heard on 3 June. Seventh place Sampdoria will replace Genoa in the Europa League if Genoa can't play. Whichever one plays will start in Qualifying Round 3.
Genoa didn't play in the Europa League. Genoa is 12th in Serie A through 8 games and plays at 17th place Empoli tomorrow at 9:00 A.M. USA Eastern, which is unusually early for a Saturday Serie A game.
