RomaPress – Roma’s Board of Directors met today to approve the 2018/2019 financial year statement and to approve a capital increase of €150,000,000. Both measures were passed during the nearly two-hour meeting, which included the presence of Roma CEO Guido Fienga and vice-president Mauro Baldissoni – but there were also a few other notable items that were revealed, including: Fienga mentioned that Nike has an option to extend their contract with Roma for additional ten years, however – the club is renegotiating the deal with Nike because they believe the value should be higher. Fienga reiterates that Roma are not in talks with the Friedkin Group about a potential sale or investment and that there has never been contact with anyone. Baldissoni expects that administrative process related to the Stadio della Roma to be completed soon. Fienga revealed that Roma continue to look for more sponsorship opportunities Where the hell is @Salmeen10? I need to know what I'm supposed to think.
I haven't been around much the last few months due to work so I'm not sure of the general mood. For me the team has done exceedingly well considering all of the changes this summer and the crazy number of injuries. 5th in the league; 1 pt out of 4th and 4 pts out of 3rd. 1st in our EL group even though we got robbed of 3 pts. Even without the injuries I didn't think we'd be near the top 4 early in the season due to all the changes.
General mood has been pretty solid from what Ive seen. I think most of us acknowledge the injuries and financial restraints of the summer mercato.
United want between 18- 20 mil for smalldini. I think we should get the deal done asap before other clubs step in.
Diawara reportedly back training with the group today. As well as we've been playing lately, it's still nice to get some options back.
Yeah this should hopefully be a period for him to try to win himself a starting spot. He’s basically competing with Mancini at this point, so no excuses.
Never thought an Englishman would do well in Italy. Not sure why more hadn't come over. It seemed many Italian players and coaches applied their trade in England but hardly any Brits played in the Serie A. At least not in the last 20-30 years. I always thought it was because of the language barrier but then others said it was the style of play. Either way, nice to see Smalling wanting to stay at Roma as he has been playing great ball...
No, he has already left the national team with a muscle problem to return to Rome for further tests. Extra work in midfield and his body wasn't used to it might have caught up.
