I don't know if it's just me but some threads seem to have disappeared in the overhaul including the general discussion and transfer threads so I'm restarting them.

This is a place to discuss anything City besides transfers which have their own thread. Games that don't have an individual thread, news, the past, present, and future.

It has to be said after watching Newcastle beat Chelsea with ease last night I'm even more nervous about this weekend. I always considered Newcastle away a tougher fixture than United home, but Cisse is ridiculous and Kompany is going to have to watch him like a hawk as he only seems to need a few seconds to get a shot away and score.

Okay dammit here it is, after finding out the score of the biggest derby game ever I stayed away from all football related sites. Now that i am back on here i have to give credit where credit is due. Well done Manchester City. Not just beating my united but being showing true title credentials at crucial junctures during the season. Should you win the BPL I won't begrudge on bit cause it would have been well deserved. Now I suppose I should say best of luck but I honestly cant cause united will need it, unfortunately.

I will miss the Umbro kits a lot, the 2009/2010 home kit was the best I've ever seen. Umbro are owned by Nike but are traditionally a northern company so factored in our heritage and club culture when making our kits. I fear Nike will throw something out with a tick on as Nike clubs like United and Barca have had some unimpressive kits lately IMO. Best case scenario would be Nike letting the same manufacturers from Umbro keep doing ours under the Nike name.
Of course the real reason for this is Platini's rules/Financial Fair Play, our kit deal will rise from approx. £5million a year to approx. £26million a year, lots of money there for signings and wages. Rumours of another big sponsorship deal coming soon, I've heard from reliable people that City could have one of the highest revenues in world football a lot sooner than people expect.

Stu I have 3 of the 09/10 kits (needed smaller ones). Best shirt, Felt the same way about the first two away kits as well. This years are ok, but difficult to compete with that first one.

I"m hoping and fearing the same with the deal from Nike. Thought they were going to leave us on Umbro so that it'd be like Celtic/Rangers. Both within the Nike family, but one is Umbro one is Nike. Could be worse every kit could have the three stripes on it.

Crunch time, I honestly think this is the day the title is decided.

We win today and I think it will be ours. We lose today and I think it will be the rags'. If both teams unexpectedly draw I'd fancy us as they have the tougher game on the final day on paper. Unfortunately, Newcastle away is by far the toughest fixture of either City or United's remaining games. They have lost only 2 games at home, same as United, and conceded only 1 goal in 5 games at St. James', so this is going to be a ridiculously tough game. I have some fears about the result but let's just hope for the best...

Mike Dean in charge of the QPR game, don't want to jinx it but couldn't have asked for a better referee. Howard Webb has Sunderland vs. United. :ROFLMAO:

Kompany named Barclays Player of the Year. Great season for him although don't think there has been much between he and the criminally underrated Lescott.

I didn't really used to think much of Lescott, but I am in complete agreement with this.

Gods it's 1am here and there's no way I'm getting much sleep tonight. I was a nervous wreck before the United and Newcastle games but am somehow even worse tonight! I just hope I'll leave the Etihad tomorrow afternoon with tears of joy and not tears of yet more despair because this club has punished us loyal fans enough and owes us this. :ninja:
