Marseille-Lyon very entertaining match in the cup. Its a shame they couldnt meet later on. Evra already left injured.

Lille going the Monaco route, signing super young talent, but with high potential.

Biggest winner in the winter transfer window, Marseille. Payet was the biggest signing in all of Europe plus Sanson and Evra. PSG, one guy played in Portugal and the other bombed at Wolfsburg while Payet succeeded in the best league in the world.
Biggest loser, Nice. Nice contending for the title and all they signed was a sub from Lille (Oddabi)

Meh, at least we recruit players from France and Brazil while they are singing players from Portugal and Paraguay.

Some leagues are better than others. I'm happy with Monaco's transfer window because Falcao supposedly got a big offer from China and he's still here and there were strong rumors of Moutinho leaving and he is still here. We also upgraded at left back which was important. No big name signed but out competitors for the title Nice didnt do jack.

I don't think any player was really going to leave Monaco. Doesn't make sense considering Monaco is atop the Ligue 1 table and play a struggling Man City in the CL. Monaco are in a really good place currently for any big player and to go to any other team that's not in that same equal standing makes zero sense even if the money is down right ludicrous.

Moutinho has been pushed out of the starting 11 and hes one of the highest salaries on the team so thats why I thought he would leave.

Anyway, I guess that Rami tweet was fake because he didnt even up leaving Spain.

Rennes had a crappy window, they lost Grosicki and Ntep. Their billionaire owner doesnt really care about football as much.

Monaco 3-0 Nice. All Monaco goals came on the Nice right side.

    US investors in Lyon.

« Les investisseurs américains avaient passé la journée avec nous sur les chiffres, les aspects de refinancement et pour leur expliquer, cela a été un peu compliqué. Je leur ai dit que mon associé était dans le cinéma et que parfois, on faisait du deuxième degré, du troisième degré, du quatrième degré. Mais je l’ai mal vécu. On s’attendait à quelques surprises, mais je pense qu’à la fin… Vous savez, les films américains, eux, à la fin, ils se terminent toujours bien ! », a confié Jean-Michel Aulas

Former Olympique de Marseille captain Steve Mandanda says he would return to OM "with great pleasure" should a move to France materialise for the Crystal Palace FC goalkeeper.

"Quite simply, everyone knows the attachment I have for Marseille," said the 31-year-old, who won Ligue 1 with the south coast club in 2010 as well as three successive Coupes de la Ligue between 2010 and '12. "It would be a great pleasure to return, because my feeling for the club is enormous."

Marseille have already re-signed Dimitri Payet from West Ham United FC during the winter transfer window, as well as sealing the signature of in-demand former Manchester United FC and Juventus left-back Patrice Evra, with owner Frank McCourt's 'OM Champions Project' getting into full swing.

Mandanda has slipped behind Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey in London this season, and would relish the chance to follow Payet's lead and resume a career with the club he made over 300 appearances for between 2007 and '16.

"If I have to return to France it will be with Marseille and nobody else," he said.

OM are currently sixth in Ligue 1 on 39 points, having been 12th when US billionaire McCourt first took control of the club from Margarita Louis-Dreyfus last October.

Yea but that some guy has a track record of being an above average goal scorer. Mickael Le Bihan is not some scrub by any margin.

Why did Monaco sell Bahlouli? Still irked that O'L let him leave but that's a discussion for another day.

Couldn't get playing time at Liege on loan, probably not good enough to stay at Monaco in the long-run. Purely potential at this point.
