Same old story, not enough money. No DNCG in Spain yet we are competing with them on signing players. Doesnt seem fair.
i think getting rid of payet and only losing 1.5M is a great deal for them. the question is why they ever signed him in the first place, he's never been worth anywhere near that kind of money... except for a club like swansea.
I just would like to know if its business motivated as in they needed to make a big sale now, or if Bielsa truly didnt see much in him.
dropped the ball? if seville had signed him for 1.5M i'd say we dropped the ball, but no way he's worth 7M.
iiuc bielsa didn't even invite him to camp. which is pretty sensible. getting a good season out of him and making a profit... that's what we're gonna do with yoyo! we'll be rich!
c'mon, mammadov isn't a kachkar (jack the arnaque), he's already put up a lot of money for a L2 club, but for their 2014-15 budget to be legit they needed 10M in the kitty and mammadov just kept playing liar's poker about that money. RCL can still get in by showing a balanced budget that doesn't use those funds.
Guingamp are in advanced negotiations with Newcastle over the possible loan of midfielder Sylvain Marveaux according to L' Equipe. Guingamp also interested in Ludovic Obraniak (ex Bordeaux and Jeremy Pied (Nice.)
DNCG killed Le Mans and Cannes. I wonder who's next sad to say. Strasbourg and Grenoble can make it back. Gueugnon was killed but they are in CFA2 this year so they are on the road back. Same with Toulon.
Christian Brüls on loan at Nice last year from Belgium, about to sign a deal with Rennes according to L' Equipe.
Benjamin Stambouli of Montpellier could go to FC Porto. http://www.goal.com/fr/news/28/main/2014/07/26/4984579/transferts-stambouli-vers-porto
So Lens may return to L1 after all. http://www.ligue1.com/ligue1/article/light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel-for-lens.htm
Kombouare is definitely a detestable person. During the period Lens was unsure about its future, his attitude consisting in playing golf while his team was preparing itself for the upcoming season and Martel was dealing with the press alone was very unclassy. We can argue about the choice of Martel to "associate" himself to a shady person like Mammadov to come back at Lens but he loves his club and he was here to take the hits during those troubled times while Kombouaré was taking a vacation. Waiting to see if the club stays up before to take a decision is really the attitude of a huge opportunist. For someone who is always using a rhetoric based on fighting, he lacks of conviction. Otherwise, he would have left the club right away. I'm pretty sure he has a high opinion of himself because of all the praises he got when he got fired from PSG. He's just the equivalent of Fournier. One can argue that he was 1 point away from the second place but if you looked at the dynamic of the team it was a disaster just like Kombouaré to whom the word tactic is still an abstraction.
Maybe he's detestable but everything Ive been reading from football fans they all say Martel is destable.
Yohann Pelé priority for RC Lens in goal http://www.lensois.com/2014/07/31/67318-yohann-pele-priorite-du-rc-lens-dans-les-buts
Lens coach, Antoine Kombouare have views of Cardiff City defender, Kévin Théophile-Catherine (24 years, 28 games in the Premier League in 2013-2014), according to L'Equipe. The Blood and Gold could offer a loan with option to purchase the former Rennes, under contract until 2016 with the Welsh club relegated to the second division.
Makelele and Bastia have done some good moves with Areola, Gillet, Ayite and Brandao, I just hope some of the younger guys like Ba also continue to progress this season with Khazri gone.
