    Only three points difference between

    1. Marseille 26pts
    and
    8. Lyon 23pts
    and at
    12. Toulouse 21pts

I have to say while no team seems to be good enough to sustain a winning streak it's a pretty exciting season.

And please start winning some home games Lens so, having the 3rd biggest crowd being relegated and replaced by Châteauroux & Le Mans is not what the league needs.

Yea Nantes & Strasbourg back would be great.

My ideal 20 teams for Ligue 1

    Marseille
    Lyon
    Lens
    Bordeaux
    Saint-Etienne
    Paris SG
    Rennes
    Caen
    Montpellier
    Toulouse
    Lille
    Reims
    Nantes
    Strasbourg
    Bastia
    Lorient
    Nice
    Monaco
    AJ Auxerre
    Metz

(Maybe Tours get a shot at getting promoted the 2nd year ;)

Mostly good crowds, good history and some sentimental favorites, it's intresting though how it's always seems to be the club with the smallest crowds that do well in Ligue 2 & National while bigger clubs like Nantes & Strasbourg suffer from bad management, economics and performance.

There's a crazy game with Lille - Lorient at the moment . 4-3 to Lille but look at the sequence ...

    6' [0 - 1] K. Gameiro
    12' [1 - 1] M. Sow
    18' [2 - 1] M. Sow
    45' [2 - 2] K. Gameiro
    49' [3 - 2] M. Sow
    57' [3 - 3] L. Kitambala
    58' [4 - 3] Gervinho

I expected Monfils to lose , Djokovic is just too good . What I didn't expect was Llodra to lose like that .. I feel for him , he couldn't stop crying , he felt he let everyone down . He tried and fought as much as he could , unfortunately Serbia was just dominant on the day :(

There's something wrong when the current L1 leaders can't even score on friggin' Arles .

Bordeaux - Rennes , what an horrible horrible match . Two teams with no technical ability . I think Rennes had their first shot of the match after 70 minutes or something .

i didn't see a single minute or highlight of VAFC-PSG, but for the rest i didn't see much good... except for lyon yesterday, whose quality almost made up for everyone else. if only every weekend could be like this one! we'd win the title with 15 points to spare!

Well if their goalkeeper wasn't being superman on the day then we would've won by alot more .

Regarding L1 , I laugh at the people who try to convince themselves that L1 in general is an attacking league . I think it's the most defensive league in europe . Not just that but the quality is terrible ! Some of the " footballers " in this league will have better success in athletics/bodybuilding . Honestly , how they earn this money is crazy !!

French football is a fail right now .

At least the "small teams" are falling from the top of the table. PSG doing well is very important.

Which I always felt would happen come this time. I don't know, I can't bring myself to be overly critical of the quality of the league. There are some quality players plying their trade, and some of the teams I feel are really good. But you will have weeks were everyone looks like shit, it happens in other leagues too, everyone just magnifies our faults. We're are always looking for them.

a nil-nil isn't necessarily a horrible match per se (although bordeaux-rennes was indeed painful to watch).

critical of ligue 1? for me the question is irrelevant. it's the league my team plays in, it's the one i follow. the rest is of no importance. point. barre.

if i was living in the states and going to 'quake matches the equation would be identical; i almost got into an MLS = mickey mouse thread on those grounds.

i subscribe to C+ because i'm an OL fan. it offers me 3-4 matches a week in each of the 3 "big" leagues. did i watch barça win the plastico 4-0? tottenham-chelsea? MU-arsenal? not a bit of it! lviv-PSG, lorient-lens (even on the computer with foot+)... those are football matches!

Its weird because Rami would cost Marseille or Lyon a lot more than 6m if they wanted him. I believe Lille was asking for 15m at the time. 6m for some foreign club is like a throwaway. I dont understand it.
