Iffin the guy was able to turn heads, one might thing that this division might have been a place that he should have been able to. If he isn't a lockdown starter in this division, I'm not sure where he will be? 3BL maybe? Join Gyau at Sonnenmilch?
I actually believe he has turned heads in this division - as a highly technical, possession minded midfielder - and maybe he will get more minutes now that VVV seems assured of the championship and promotion. At the very least, he seems to have turned Warburton's head. My response is more directed to a concern that he will make a rash decision based on poor advice or a mistaken belief that England presents the best environment for him. IMHO, nothing could be further from the truth.

70' gets ball in space on right side, ball gets stuck under feet, and gets ball poked away. was too slow on that one.
playing on the right side, on his 2nd possession played basic ball forward. gotta say, without that injury i don't know if he comes on. but that's sheer speculation by me.
81' cleans up a loose ball in center of field, in traffic calmy possesses and plays it back safely. 82' gets ball in space 30 yards out on top of the box, plays floating chip into the box, goes for a corner. could have very easily pushed it forward and ripped it from 20 or aggressively dribbled himself.
86' switched to left side, gets ball again space and for some reason just doesn't attack. holds the ball up to play it square. possession = yes, making impact = no
7 minutes of extra. 91' great play by GZ, gets ball on touch line around midfield on pseudo-break, cuts it back in tight space and drives to center of field where we puts in nice cross field pass.
It was a nice FK, at least: powerful shot to one of the guys in the barrier, who moved his face out of the way, and it went in clean as a result. Zelalem has had a couple of good passes "in transition" as we say, helping his team come out of the back.
saw that too, walked away with his head down. and then jogs toward celebration while everyone else and the bench is sprinting like a Landon Algeria party.
Gedion did his thing on the left, dancing around two guys and crossing before the third arrived. No one understood him.
Today you could see GZ can be of use in a team where players expect his crosses/passes. Here, he's of very limited use.
Ok. i can breathe now. 1) 96' gets ball on left side and looking to maybe take it to corner to waste time. He puts on a couple jukes (typical misdirection stuff by him), then gets triple teamed and beautifully megs the guy to go in alone in the box, tight angle but puts a great ball into the far post but no one was there. it was awesome!!!!
