FWIW, from Bobs Board fans watching the games. Lots of critique about consistency in his effort.

"the lad has obvious talent, but like many lower league players he often lacks the right decision and also lacks the consistency. he struggled to get a break through under cook. he has for me been disappointing this season after a good 2nd half to last season I was hoping he'd kick on but it hasn't really happened, is this due to what happened or didn't happen in the summer? maybe but his best way of getting a move out surely is to put it in for us week to week. "

A lot of similar type comments. Trying to find positive ones to share but can't to be honest. Common theme amongst the frustrated Spireites.

im sure it is because they rejected transfer offers for him to move up and move on. Last year, at least from what i read on here, he was better then just about everyone else out there, if you don't get that challenge of the next level then your game will eventually suffer. Could be what has happened.

Even at playing without much interest he is still the best player in his team.

Lots of fans relieved at his being dropped to the bench citing poor attitude/performances.

How could the guy move on to a better team if he isn't lighting it up for this crappy team? I never understand that. If you want out, you either play so good that a better team comes calling, or play badly enough that you can either rot on the bench or in the reserves, or get desperate enough to take a wage cut to move to a lower division side.

I already seeing him play good in this crappy team, he was supposed to be gone but his team played hard-ball with his release. I don't approve his lackluster playing while his contract is up.

League One still supposedly pays good money. At this point, to get out, he'd have to take a pay cut.

Next season it's likely they'll be in League Two though.

I was just thinking the other day, "You know? Ariyibi kind of reminds me of Yanic Wildschut."

It turns out his new manager feels the same way:

And having spent less than a week with the American winger, Caldwell is excited about his potential. “I think the talent he’s got he can be anything he wants to be,” said the former Celtic and Wigan defender. “He’s got fantastic feet, he’s got a great physique, just turned 22 and I’m really looking forward to working with him. “I worked with Yanic Wildschut at Wigan and he reminds me so much of him.”
