When he was signed, I had my doubts. However, I will say he proved me wrong over the years. He left a club that at the time was in a relegation fight and joined a club that won the Champions League later that year. He then won the Europa League and various trophies with Chelsea. I wish him the best.

His run as a starter went on a bit too long but man.. to come from what, Bolton?, to stepping up and beating Bayern Munich on their home turf to help us lift the CL trophy. That alone makes him a hero. Best of luck Gary
